Hi Guys
Greetings to you Can anyone advise the pro & con of New version of Card Fountain by Hey Presto Magic-with remote control? Most importantly of all, is the shooting height comparable with the Contento's New Generation Card Fountain? Or even higher?? I sold my old Contento's version a few months back, and am very very eager to get a new one because I heard from Victor Contento, a new version of the New Generation Card Fountain with Rechargable battery, greater heights & better quality parts is coming soon...many months of waiting......& just heard from him today that the new model is not out yet due to slow market & no idea when they will be out Heard from Chance Wolf of Wolf magic that they will be releasing the Card ERUPTION Fountain (different shooting angle approach) ..similar in size with the Contento version(with timer switch)-...I am on his waiting list...but so far no news....he is a very busy man who builds many quality products...not sure when he will release this...as I am sure there are many projects awaiting him... Hence now my only choice is the Hey Presto version..can anyone please post a review of this..thank you Warmest Regards dove-boy |

Hi dove-boy,
I've been waiting for the new Contento fountain as well. The last time I spoke with Victor he told me that it would be advertised in the major magazines soon. That was a month ago so I guess your info is more recent. The major difference with the Hey Presto fountain is that it can only be activated from the remote and there is no time delay between activation and eruption. I've been told the cards fly just as high, if not higher, as the Contento fountain. |

Speaking of card fountains, has anyone seen the Card sword from Hocus Pocus- The one that doesn't use elastic and can be done with a signed card?
I think it sounds too good to be true. Does anyone have any comments? |

Hey Guys, the Hey Presto Card Fountain is one of the best ones ever built. Works on a remote control device so you fire it when you're ready.. not the timer. Shoots the cards approx. 6' high smooth as a waterfall. Remote works from a distance of approx 90' away... I use one with a card sword but it works equally as well with just a signed card. Well worth a look.

Well I recently acquired the Contendo Jumbo Fountain and am extremely happy with it. Activated by switch or remote it is GREAT. I currently use the fountain with the switch as I had it re-set to 15 seconds by Contendo.
By the way, communication with Contendo is easy and they are very responsive. I initially thought I'd need the remote but I have to reach near the fountain for an item as it is and found the delay setting just right. The fountain came with awesome warranty and a hard case for storage. Highly recommended. |

Marcello and Victor are both great guys. Their products are well thought out and constructed.

The guy who made the Hey Presto is the same guy who made Rhine Sence-- so you gotta know the quality is high.
Personally I'm not a big fan of Hey Presto the shop. But I'm not here to discuss (lots of false advertising) and no it's not the biggest shop and the owner is not the best card guy in Sydney. (I doubt he could even do a back palm) But anyway as to the sword without the elastic-- I just purchased the portable one that fits in your suit case--this doesn't use elastic and works fine -as to loading a signed card into it- It may be possible but very fidgity to do it by yourself on stage. Actually- it's very easy to use and it arrived and I used it the next day to many gasps in the audience (and much relief to me as I had previously used the elastic version and it failed [got jammed] the last two times on stage so the portable one is great). It is a little angly but I use a scabbard or sheath to hide the blade which is great. It doesn't go off in your case and this way I can show the sword better and get a few more gags out of it. Dave |
