Check this out fellas: http://www.penguinmagic.com/browse.php?s......&y=9

theres a demo too..

anyhow, this is kinda strange, along the lines of Hallmark boxes, I admit... Smile

but add a bit o' fake blood to the back of the ungaf***d nail and then hand out the G**F, and you have some good $h!t on your hands!

a great gag, and a mystery nonetheless...

just wanted to share...looks fun...and CHEAP!

I have it, or at least something similar, and I bought it a few years ago at a convention. I had always thought of it as a joke, but maybe it does have some possibilities.

LOL! definitely has gag potentials, but hey if all the rage is the Hallmark boxes, I figure we could get some use from this! Smile

I think it would baffle the hell out of them, especially with the fake blood...and a serious face...

I think ill have fun with it...Mystican, got 10 bucks? Smile

Argh, Gede .. don't joke about money right now.
Of all the times for the wife to complain about finances, 2 weeks before Halloween is NOT the time. Smile
Now I'm not supposed to even spend $10 or $20 ..

If I can ever sell that #%$&# Axtell Magic drawing board, I might be okay..

This got me thinking about the "squirting nickel". I dug mine out and tried it on some friends tonight. They got a big laugh at the story about how Thomas Jefferson was out on the back lawn of Monticello after a dinner. Show them how you can see him, if they just look close enough.
Someone afterward exclaimed, "I got pee'd on" ! You should have seen them all grab for that nickel ! Smile
(I used the old switches from Michael Ammar's pencil through the quarter routine. It's perfect and invisible). Simple props, great fun.
Yes, I like the "eyeball " thing too . Smile

Not something I could use, but I did like the porn music in the background though.

Really original... and by that I mean NOT!! Let's see, Don Alan was doing that many decades ago and had it in one of his books. So I take it I can now just scan old books and sell THEIR ideas!?
I just don't get it, but maybe it's me.

Youre right good elder...I knew this would/could turn into a question of ethics...Penguin IS known for their controversial creations, or lack thereof..

in this case, no big deal...there comes a time when many effects from old are revamped by someone else...now if they copied the Don Alan Chop cup, then we'd have to shut 'em down... Smile

all that aside, it would be a funny, yet bizarre antic to pull on your kid...

This was a standard feature of magic stores and joke shops in the forties. There was a nickle on the floor just waiting for the sucker who bent over to pickl it up. All the regular customers (who had fallen for the gag in the past) waited for each newbie to do the same and then laughed hysterically. The shop owner (in my case, Ted Collins) would show them the trick nickle in a cellophane bag (pre-plastic!) break one out and slam it into his forehead, saying "here's another good trick you can do with it!" Then he would pull the nickle from his head and drop the gimmicked one onto the counter. He never failed to make a sale. Of course, he had to show them the forehead part, because the instructions only told how to fasten it to the floor.

Jim, the one thing they forgot to do in the Penguin video is what sells it... you slam the nickel onto your head so it sticks there... they can't even get the nuances right.
