Yes Whit Haydn knives are real...rumor has it he was invented about the same time as steel...but anyway....I got Whit's DVD, knives and worked the moves. I ended up with something very different from Whit did but his DVD really gives you the idea of a routine that works for you. His routine fits his new character so well he probably thinks he was born a century too late. His routine inspired me to develop a character to make my knife routine work. Although I might be now writing this from prison it was the best 20 minutes of my life..thanks Whit...and I'm getting that 4 ring barbwire ring routine down too! ;o)

Why not just go to a knife shop and pick out some knives you like and get a set put together. They're easy enough to make if you take your time and don't stab yourself in the process.
Good luck!!! -=tabman

Tabman,
I would love to do that. I would like a set of CC knives that are made form better knives. For example, the Buck Cadet or Buck Lancer. How about some of the smaller knives from W.R.Case? The peanut or the whe whitler? In order to do this what tools would one need? How do you remove the rivets w/out damaging the knife? I currently own several sets of CC Knives, incluing 7 Scotty York Knives, 41 Mogar Knives, a Lanny Kibby 6 knife set, and so on. If I could make them myself it would be perfect for my needs. Any other set has some type of comromise as to knife quiltiy or shape. Thanks, Bruce

It depends on the knife and how the scales, that's what the decorative sides of pocket knives are called no matter what material (plastic, bone, wood, etc) they are made of, are attached to the sides of the knife frame. Seek out a nice knife shop with a good knife man behind the counter and he or she can tell you everything you need to know about how the different knives are put together. You could also do what most of us do and that's buy a few extra to experiment on!!! And you can always email me a photo and let me take a look too. Making knife sets is a lot of fun.
