Could anyone tell me where I could purchase a Tear-Apart Change Bag? I have a nice one that is about 10" square and it has velcro up the sides so it will tear open. However, it is almost worn out and I have not been able to find a suitable replacement. I have bought two new ones and I don't like either one.

I believe Lynetta Welch used to make these, but I went to her website and they are no longer listed.

I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where I could buy one that is good quality.

Thanks!

Well look who is back on The Magic Café! Regan! Long time - no see.

Welcome back!

Since I like his work on the Zipper Dove Bag, I recommend that you contact Oscar Munoz in Texas to have one made for heavy use. (Lucy would suggest purple.)

Tell him the Saddle Tramp sent you.

Don't stay away so long next time. We missed you.

Hi Bob. It is good to hear from you again. It has been awhile.

Thanks for the welcome and the recommendation. I will do a search and see if I can locate Mister Munoz. Will telling him I was sent by the "Saddle Tramp" get me a discount?

Sorry I have been gone so long. I have finally gotten my computer running better. I have been so busy trying to keep up with my magic and my musical career that I have almost been overwhelmed.

It's good to know someone missed me. I'll try not to stay away so long next time.

Regan,

Maybe you shouldn't tell Oscar that the Saddle Tramp sent you. He may charge you double! Or refuse to talk to you!

Here is Oscar's site:

Have you tried the tear-apart version the doesn't come completely apart, but tears away on the 2 sides? It leaves the bottom of the 2 sections attached, and is very good! Used to come with the Danny Tong (if memory serves me) item called "Laundry Bag" or something like that. You can also buy the bag seperately, which I did.

Hi Steve,

The one I use is exactly as you describe. Where did you buy yours? I found a great one years ago but I have about worn it out. I ordered one to replace the one I have and was very disappointed in it. I can't even use it. I found another and bought it just to have as a spare in case mine gave out, but it is not very good either. I won't use it unless I have to. In fact, instead of using either of the new ones, I have sewn mine several times to repair it. I need to get a replacement soon. Thanks so much for your help.

Bob,

Thanks for your help also. I'll check out the link to Mister Munoz's website. I may not mention the Saddle Tramp just yet. I don't want him to refuse to talk with me. Maybe I'll tell him Lucy sent me. I know that will get me some special treatment!

Regan

I checked my email and Sandra Sisti of Seams Like Magic had sent me a return message regarding my inquiry about her Tear-Apart Change Bag. It looks good from the pic, and sounds good from her description.

Does anyone have any experience with this or any other Seams Like Magic products?

Hi Regan:

I've seen some things that Sandra Sisti makes, and they are very good - she does excellent work. Also, I've seen the Tear Apart Change bag listed on Laflin Magic's website; I've never seen their bag in person, though.

I hope this helps you.

Hi Ron.

I actually bought the one from Laflin Magic. It wasn't what I expected.

I bought another at a magic shop somewhere years ago. I take it as a backup, but I haven't had to use it yet. I don't like the quality of it either.

I owe Sandra a reply, so I will see what else she has to say.

Thanks for your help.

Regan,

I have a couple of things that Sandra Sisti has made for me and they are all good quality.

If you can send her a scan or even better yet the original bag I'm sure she can duplicate it.

Worth a shot.

Take Care,

Hey Vincent, that is a great idea! Sandra mentioned that she could try and make one in colors or patterns of my choice if I wanted a custom one.

Thanks for the suggestion!
