I signed up for the banner exchange thinking (and hoping) that it would bring new members to The Magicians Living Room.

When I signed up for the banner exchange it said 'classified ads' which usually means that you can choose which sort of ads go onto your site - but obviously not in this case.

I was also shocked to find that sort of ad on the site...

For this reason you will now find that there are no more banner ads on The Magicians Living Room: so you can view it without those horrid ads.



So hopefully you will return to The Magicians Living Room to find it in its full glory once again...

Yeah, it's a tough thing. My site is on Tripod, and they use a pop up ad. So far, I haven't noticed anything too objectionable!

If you've visited the site recently, you'll have noticed that there are now banner ads - but don't fray!



This is a different banner exchange where you can choose the types of banners placed on your site, which is better for the site.



What's actually better than this is that the exchange we're with now gives you 5000 free impressions for your banner to begin with - so we've had new members join because of that which means more members on the site i.e. more magicians to meet!!!



I was wondering for the site...If there was a trick on The Magicians Living Room that had a teaching video to accompany it, would you join the forums there if you only had to join the forums to get access to view the vid???

I like the test to get into the advanced section. It really requires you to have a bona fide involvement in magic. The questions are very fair to one who has put in some time, but they do not require involvement in a secret society. I think if magic is to survive with the internet, these types of tests should be more prevalent. In fact, maybe there should be some sort of test to access the Magic Cafe. I might pose this question in the appropriate forum.
