I'm with Steve T on the worm (uniflated balloon).
I have actually had a child that was happy with the worm. Everybody in the place just roared. |

Pirate cutlass and flying mouse are my two favorite quickies...and the kids love them both.

I Like the swan, my kids love the mouse, my wife loves the teddy bear, but that one doesn't look right without the red baloon tulip.....
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

Love all of them but I do a routine to begin the twisting , that includes 2 fast figures, the first is a flourescent light bulb(yup just a straight white balloon) ans a blue jay( you guessed it a blue balloon held curved so it looks like the letter jay) I know very corny, but clowns are like that

I would have to agree with ron and say the ladybug bracelett a lot of parents like these cause they don't have to hold onto it for the kid when the kid wants to go do somthing

Stegosaurus is my most favorite one balloon animal. It's easy and very mysterious looking when twisting it, but kids recognize and likes it immediately when its finish. Green for boys and red (stawberry eater) for girls =)
Teddy bear in unicycle etc. are very great, but some odd reason I like stego. It's so... recognizable! There is exelent balloon stegosaurus twisting instruction in T.Myers Best of True inflations (book). Here is picture (lousy and hesitated, but does the job, I hope): http://www.yourfilehost.com/media.php?ca......urus.JPG |

The sword! I once worked a birthday party for about forty kids and EVERYONE (boys and girls) wanted a sword.

Using white balloons I have given out flourescent light bulbs before. Very Easy to make and can also use yellow or black.

Swords are always the most popular but I like the dog that swallowed his ball because it always, without fail gets a 'How did you do that' from adults and children

Last night, while working in a restaurant, a soccer team of 25 boys (10-12 yrs old) came in. If I had made them what the requested, it would have taken up my alloted time there, and no other customers would have gotten any magic or balloons. If I made swords for them all, the coaches and parents would have killed me (picture 25 kids in a bar room brawl!).
So I made them all a Flying Mouse, and they spent the evening having competitions with each other. Went over well. Brian |

I make a KILLER One-Balloon "Scorpion" that never ceases to amaze!

The Early Bird may get the Worm, but it's the SECOND Mouse that gets the CHEESE!!!

For the girls, it's either poodles or (one-balloon) flowers. (Not tulips, but a three-petaled flower and stem from a standard 260.)
For the guys, swords seem awfully popular, if the parents/guardians allow it.

As I'm a pirate, I get asked for swords all the time. I give balloon swords to about 95% of the boys I see at parties. I also make sure I play pirate games with them so they get to use their swords, and teach them to swordfight "properly" (ie "safely"). Trick is to tell them to use their feet, dance around a bit, like a boxer, not to wave their hands madly about thrashing their swords, which is the temptation for some. I explain that if someone gets hit with their FIST instead of the sword, it will really hurt. I find that simple instruction keeps them all playing nicely, and it's awesome how much fun it is to have a balloon sword fight! Last Christmas, the dining room staff at a large hotel where I was working requested swords for an "after work sword fight". I suspect they got played with in the kitchen before the end of the shift though......
