I would recommend this site to beginners. You do have to take a knowledge test before you can get access, but it has several effects for every skill level ranging from beginner to pro. It also covers just about every branch of magic, no matter what your interest. I'd advise you to stay out of the discussion boards, but other than that it's a great site.

The discussion boards aren't as well
M O D E R A T E D, as The Magic Café' certainly is, and sometimes a few really offensive topics are posted. Other than that I encourage you to visit, as it is a great site nonetheless!

Wow, how sad. "Stay out of the discussion boards." If you come across offensive comments - you can always email the webmaster - all posts get removed within hours. A site can only be as good as its members.
