I did a card trick a few years ago over the telephone and I have lost my notes and cannot remember where I found it initially. Someon was on the end of the phone with a pack of cards I instructed them, they looked at a card - they read them out to me and I told them the card they thought of. As they were reading them out I was writing them down next to numbers 1 - 13 and I think theire card was the number nine.
Has anyone got any idea what I am talking about. If not can anyone tell me where I can find a simple but poewrful telephone trick. Thanks Willie |

I have seen this trick before also and cant recall where it was. Might of been on-line somewhere. Also I think David Blaines book has a trick like that in it. If you want I can dig it out and check for you.

Yes, it'a a great trick, and yes, it's in David Blaine's book. I performed it for a professional Poker Player in Atlantic City (one of the greats you see on TV all the time), and it freaked him out. He was very disturbed that his voice might have given me a "tell." He wanted to try again.
According to Blaine, it's the trick that sold ABC on the TV special deal. |

I remember a diffrent one where "god" calls you and tells you the card you chose. Or isn't there one . It leaves my head right now I know I have it somewhere. Where you get a phonebook, select a number, call it and they tell you the selected card.

I know its not the same effect, but you can do a great over the phone routine with the ID where the spec calls anyone they want...the person on the phone names a card and magically it's the only card face up in the deck.
Anyone who owns the ID should use this routine if they they don't know it. Even make a good finali for your table as it's so high impact.

Rock on. I knew this wasn't original either, I just know it's a GREAT use for the ID. Most of the time I have the person with the phone repeat what I tell them. "Imagine a deck of cards, take the deck out of it's box....blah blah blah" Go through the whole thing...it's great....KILLER effect.
