Hi I have just recently received my first few packs of tally-ho decks and after testing one out I find the deck very stiff. I have been shuffling the deck for like the entire day. Overhand shuffles, riffle shuffles and yet their still that stiff that their almost impossible to dribble. Don't get me wrong the quality of the tally-ho deck is top notch. I'm just finding the deck extremely hard to break into.
If anybody can help me out I would be very thankful. -Aaron

Aaron,
I've stayed away from using that deck- for that exact reason. Why not just use a conventional and widely known Bicycle deck? Personally I find them much better for my card work. They even last longer. It depends though. I use a deck all the time and am very fluent with a deck. Tally-ho cards seem to glob together. Don't fan as well. But I can still get a fan out of them. I base my cardwork on two moves: If they fan well, and if they dribble well. If they do- then that's a good deck. The next best deck in my my opinion from the Bicycle decks would be Bee backed decks. Now, these decks don't have any white borders around them- which if your not proficient in skill with a deck; double lifts/passes/etc; then you might be flashing a lot. I use these decks for gambling situations and demonstrations- hence they are Casino cards; unlike Bicycles. Bee backed cards are also very thin with a nice finish. Top changes work amazingly well with this deck; as well as second deals. Also, If your into card manipulations- work with red Bees; they are very good for productions if you don't have manip cards. If your wanting manipulation cards- get a deck of MURPHYS Manip cards. But any of the manip decks out on the market are good. I just work with those. But anyway... I don't use Tally-ho. I'd go with a Bicycle deck for card working. Bee decks for practice. But beware- Bicycles and Bees are of a different feel. Bicycles are much heavier. So, when you handle one even for a day and try and switch decks to practice with- you'll notice a distinct difference. Hope this helps. Any questions on card magic; don't hesitate to ask... Best regards, Matt Tomasko

Ah... How many cards have you used in your life? this happens all the time! just keep bending them and springing them, it should be worked in before you know it!

I got 8 packs of tally-hos because they are supposedly better than bikes for xcm/flourishes and they are also supposed to be quite good for magic and sleights.
I have only used one other type of deck before this which were "Royal plastic cards (bridge) and they took no working into as they could dribble straight out of the box.
