I know this has been covered, but just wanted to add my support for the idea. Once you join in a thread, it'd be great to get emailed notices when the thread has been added to. Yes I know this can be done when you start a thread, but I'd love to do it when you add to one, too. There are some board programs that support this protocol, so I know it's possible, should there be an upgrade in the future...

We are looking into adding that, but I don't really want to say more about it. I have no idea how long it might be before it happens, if it happens.
