When performing the string from eye trick does it matter what color string you use?

Yea because I don't want to cause any harm due to the color dye on the string.

It cant be leanrt anywhere yet, it will be in a book by Wayne Houchin the inventor of the trick, I think anyway, but that wont be available for a couple years apparently. However I believe people who have decided to try and replicate before it has been put in print, have used methods such as those found in the Swami Mantra for passing a small needle from eye to eye. Unless you are used to doing this kind of thing I would recommend doing it without proper guidance.

Looks painful, if you do somehow stick it in your eye. Eyeball and contact with foreign objects = ouch ~!
I knew this kid in highschool that use to just push his eyeball around in his socket with his finger. I tried doing it but it just feels really uncomfortable, like touching the flesh under your nails, ewww ~ |

Im pretty sure he is, but like I said I don't think it will be for a couple years or so, because of contract issues on some tricks with criss angel, such as 'thread' (string from eye)

Yes, Wayne Houchin is in the process of writing a book. It is going to be called "Moments of Insanity". The string from eye, or Thread, is going to be one of the effects featured in the book. At the moment, Wayne is in the process of writing this book, so do not expect to see this one on the shelves for quite some time. Probably about a year or so.

The tear ducts are connected to your nasal passage. I know this from old high school bio classes. And if I plug my nose and try and force air out you feel that pressure in your ears and I get air coming out of my left inside corner of my eye. I have seen people squit water out of the inside corner of their eye as well. I think it works on the same way the string up the nose and out your mouth effect. I think I have heard teh term "Geek Magic" used in context to stuff like this.

I have seen him pull the thread from his torn pants and those little strings are white. So, maybe that is why he uses white. I have personally tried this only a couple times and I have used black thread because it matches my eyelashes better. Quote:

(whatever you want to call it.)I have found that only 1 of them works. I have found that after pulling it out my eye gets irritated. I guess that goes for being dumb and putting something in my eye in the first place. Like I said I have only done this a couple times. Only 1 of those times was for a performance. I recorded it on my phone and sent it to a friend. That is as close as I have come to an actual performance of this. The other times were practice. I'm not saying its a good thing to do but if you want to know the way that I do it shoot me a PM......... |
