Hey...I used to have all that stuff when I was a kid - Financed by my paper route. Now I can only afford to look at it. Keep looking for the large, red 3" dia P&L Phantom Tube with end caps for nostalgic purposes. Bought one in 1957 for $10.
Chance, could I come over and play sometime?

Chance,
You have a great collection; I really enjoyed looking at the pictures. I know this is a lot to ask, what are the chances that you would post pictures of individual items. I would like to see their details (not their workings). Thanks, Bruce |

Bruce,
That would be a big task but I will try to get to that over the summer. My collection has changed a bit over the years so you may see some new pieces as well. I will let ya guys know when I add more pics. Thanks for the compliments guys! Chance

I just came across this thread now...wow! When I was younger it wasn't so much the tricks that got me into magic so much as it was it's history. I love looking at this stuff, could stare at it all day. Thanks for sharing and great collection!
Please post more if you can... James |

Wow, Chance you have an incredible collection. I can definitely relate to the addiction of always wanting to add to a collection. Since we are sharing pictures, below is where I display my magic collection. As you'll see my focus has been more on the vintage MAK, Grant, Jimmy King side, but I'm trying to expand towards more Wolf and Owen items when the budget permits. And of course...no collection would be complete without some Mel Babcock items as well.
http://www.magictrickcollection.com on the left side of the page I have the various items collected listed. Sorry no group photos yet.

Chance,
I saw that you have the Wooden Apple and Worm card production trick. I actually bought this several years ago here in DFW. I used it quite frequently, but eventually the motor mechanism that raises and lowers the wand broke. Then last year my daught got ahold of one of the worms, needless to say it needs some repair work. Do you know of anyone I can send this to and have it repaired? Thanks, Bart Scott |

Hey guys,
Glad you like my collection. It's always fun to share with those who appreciate it. Steven, NICE website! I may have to buy a piece or two when the time comes. Thanks for making my props look so cool. Bart, Send it on over. can fix it up better than new considering I use MUCH higher quality motors. The new worm may be a difficult match as it may require re-wrapping both worms if the fabric is trashed. call me on this and we can talk. 509-947-1132 Thanks Chance

Sorry Jim but none of the items are for sale in my collection at this time.
I do wheel and deal, trades etc but the Owen Magic effects will stay in my collection. I am always looking for Vintage Owen Magic. Thanks Chance

Chance,
Thank you for sharing these photograph. How is it to actually live into the magic shop with a bigger variety than they do and only on tricks you love? I looked in details and the part that interested me the most is your coin to glass. Great selection. Congratulations and thanks again. Now I know where to ask for advice on the coins to glass and more

Chance , it's nice to see an old familiar face in your collection.... (I actually used the Run Wolf Run in a show yesterday.) I'm still pleased where it ended up ..... and not in some garage sale after I'm gone. Who will have this next?

Chance, great collection. In the first picture top right is a Art Deco looking TV card frame type thing (holding pics of a very lovely lady). I have one that is very similar in design & construction. Do you know who made it?
I wasn't sure about the box on the front of the piece. I thought that perhaps something was missing, but yours looks like mine. Does it just hold the trigger mechanism that is activated with a wand or something? Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
