Didn't Copperfield do something similar? wrote his predicition on a paper, gave it to a notary or whatever he's called, kept it in a safe, and only to reopen it after the draw and the numbers were the exact match? and if my memory doesn't fail me, in an interview, Copperfield said that it's all math...it can be done, but YOU will have to open the envelope.... beats me!

I'll just have to continue practicing my number picking.... who knows... Maybe I'll be able win the pick 6 here in the states. |

Well, this has gotten on to a strange twist.
Have you forgotten it is a trick? If any of us had real psychic powers, we would win every bet on a horse race and pick all the numbers for a lottery any where in the world and be rich beyond imagination. LOL.

I'm gonna have to side with troller on this one cause I think he needs some backup,
Troller had a method for predicting lottery numbers and was kind enough to share the idea on the Café. I mean that's whats this place is for. Who cares if some guy actually believes it's magic, it was common practice for people to believe in wizardry during the shakesperian times to explain stuff that seemed impossible, shakespear believed in it himself. I would love to be able to still believe in magic as I did when I was a kid. I think the belief of real magic is inspiring and can only bring positive effects. isn't that the whole point of a magician? its like religion, maybe its not true and their is no god, but it is a scientific fact thatpeoplewho have faith and belief in god recover much qicker from disease and injuries that athiests ( read that somewhere in scientific american ). now I'm not saying magic can do the same thing but I think magic is more that just making someone scratch their head, its to give people that tingley feeling inside and capturing wonder and making them smile. |

If you want to forget EVERYTHING we know then go ahead be a child and believe in whatever you want.
I am saying it is DANGEROUS to put this junk magic forth as it can be done. It can't. We do tricks period. Tricks with methods not magic. Shakespere would never have believed in magic if he knew the methods now would he? I doubt it. As I stated, if anyone has a method please do it make the money and I will retract EVERY WORD. Till then just keep dreaming. No wonder most magicians can't be taken seriously. They start to believe their own line of bull. TRICKS GUYS. that is what we do. TRICKS and tricks alone. get over it. if you want spells and fairys, you are in the wrong forum......or maybe I am.

Sorry my bad it was from readers digest,
heres the link http://www.readersdigest.ca/debate.html?a=v&di=125 and heres a quote "Yet today, at some of the leading medical centres in the United States, studies are under way on the power of prayer. And the results of this research are surprising others in the medical community. A recent study of 91,000 people in rural Maryland showed that weekly church attendees had 50 percent fewer deaths from heart disease than non-churchgoers and 53 percent fewer suicides. Churchgoers had lower blood-pressure levels than nonbelievers, even after smoking and other risk factors were considered. Wayne State University in Detroit studied more than 500 African-American men in 1994 and found a significant correlation between the participants' religious involvement and their health. Researchers identified a number of indicators of true religious commitment, such as church attendance, and found that these were linked to various beneficial health effects, including less instances of depression and reduced smoking and alcohol consumption. Closer to home, The Centre for Integrated Healing, a complimentary cancer care centre in Vancouver, uses prayer and meditation in conjunction with standard cancer treatment. The centre's Dr. Hal Gunn says it's been shown that the power of prayer fully engages and stimulates the immune system." Quote:

The point is that the guy who said the tape thing was fake did not know the method so he thought it was real magic, which is offten a logical conclusion( the same conclusion that was drawn in shakespears time.) I never said that we should start "believeing in magic". I said we should respect the power that magic, or "tricks", have on laymen and in this case, sometimes magicians.you seem to have no regard for it, saying a magician that believes in it is of low intelligence. I also said that the whole point of a magician is to maipulate that power. if you disreagard that side of performing than your missing a key aspect to it. so danny, get a grip, reasses your reading skills, and apologize |

When someone states that they think they have a method on something, there is no need to go ballistic on the idea. I am trying to win on my picks. I am trying.
Funny thing is that I didn't even get to post what my method was and all of a sudden I am being attacked outright by a bunch of knowitalls. What are they doing being arm-chair quarterback? Can you at least offer some advice on how to approach the topic at hand? Without insulting anyone and without a tongue-in-cheek approach? =================== For anyone interested... my final posting in this topic - results are after 10PM: Results: http://lottery.sympatico.msn.ca/cgi-bin/......ily_keno Ontario Daily Keno Dec 6 1,12,19,70 1,18,20,70 1,12,18,20,70 1,10,19,45,59 1,12,18,19,20,70 1,12,18,19,20,45,47,59 11,19,45,70 11,19,45,68 19,23,45,68 11,17,19 23,25,27 45,68,70 17,19,23,25,27,45,68,70 |

I SINCERLY hope anyone who plays the lotto wins......you seem like a quite nice bunch of guys and I really mean that......
Here is my problem which nobody but KID has adressed. As I said we are magicians doing tricks. NOT guessing numbers. there is NO mathmatical basis for figuring out the numbers legitimatly so you can win the prizes. This is simple because if there was then the game would not exist. Simple enough right? NObody attacked or offended yet huh? Arm chair quarter back? That is meant to arouse a response so I will only give this. Mind you not an attack. I don't have to try to fly to the sun with wax wings to know for a fact it is a poor idea now do I? In the physical universe we occupy it is not a good thing to try. Same here. No attack right? Now for the last thing when you accused me of saying a magician who believes in his own silly tricks as real "MAGIC", and I mean spells not the effect wwe have on people is somewhat less intelligint. Well I may be saying just that. Like I said don't treat me as if I don't know. Heck I use a thumbtip to vanish a handkerchief........simple so what? So I don't REALLY think it vanishes. If I did I would have to be a little less smart than most people. THAT is what is going on. I am not missing any point. So stop accusing me of things, stop saying appologise and stop telling me to reassess my reading skills. (although my spelling skills need a LOT of work) I was not mean just now, only clarifying. Maybe before we try to put forth crackpot schemes people may actually believe and waste lots of rent money on we should think. That is when it gets dangerous. Oh and the whole point of being a magician is to ENTERTAIN people.....not manipulate them into believing silly schemes on a electronic bullitin board.

What the heck did you just write?
Well, my method sucked tonight. Back to the drawing board. If it works... ever... I will post it, until then I will bow out. By the way, the method did work for a while back when I did not post in bulletin boards. Since then I have been noticing that it is getting harder to predict the outcome. I started off with charts that progressed into other charts that seem to show the numbers that were due... however, lately I guess they changed the game as they often do when there are too many winners. Someone recently won $2.5 Million just about a month ago. He played 10 numbers for $10, forgot to study, and played his old numbers. They ended up coming in!!! |

I am speaking of only math and of numbers. If the numbers are random nobody can predict them consistantly.......and the LACK of anyone having bragged of doing so only reinforces my point now dosn't it?
Fourwinds what you experienced was "random short term fluxuations in chance". What most gamblers call "luck". it happens, it is NOT predictable contraty to what people like you and vanilla think............which I guess is my whole point. Thank you for making it for me. Keep playing, keep believing and I will keep hoping you guys get lucky, for THAT is what it will take. Again this is my entire point. Good luck guys!

So far I have heard nothing but negativeness towards this predicting thing. Now how about you providing us something legitamate for the Street Magic part of the forum. I would rather this post end on a positive note and give us something to take with us on our journey through the streets.
