Hey guys, I know about the search feature, just wondering if possibly we could create a sticky about card flourishs once we get a couple posts about the best places to find them? What DVD's would you recommend? Any websites? Thanks in advance guys!

Where do you live Static?..
Current DVD's that I know of that are popular are Show Off Generation X (Brian Tudor) Cradle to Grave (De'vo) The System (Buck Twins) and Capped and Recapped (By Fred Caps.. I don't know the exact names) And that , I think, basically sums up most of the teachings out there. They are all mindboggling but at a different style. Any other ones? Xcm has been my late interest as I cant practice magic when Im in class. So I just fool around with cards a little bit. |

Look in the "Pasteboard Frolics" forum.
You'll find what you need. Btw, The author of CAP CUTS and Recapped is Capaso Casino.

I still have trouble getting an even thumb fan and I've been practicing for years. No flourishing for me!

I have his art of card manip but if you don't want to learn manipulation and pure flourishes i.e. Xcm, which is what most of the people in today's world mean when they say "Flourishes".. then I wouldnt really recomment McBrides. Why would you?. If you don't mind saying? |

Keone's Extreme Cuts are very good too and have a lot potential. Very kool cuts inside. Nobody mentioned it so far. If you havn't checked it out so far, you should give it a try.

..Xcm, which is what most of the people in today's world mean when they say "Flourishes".. Don't even start bro. Anyway, I'd think the best places for learning flourishing. Dananddave.com/forum superhandz.com (but use it sparingly) And then Ellusionist.com has some of De'vo's videos. (Again, only use if your life depends on it.)

Here's how I got it:
XCM: A way of performing. Magic: A way of performing. Individual moves of XCM: Flourishes Individual moves of Magic: Sleights You combine them and that decides what it is. If it is mostly magic related and a lot of paranormal phenomenon takes place, it is magic. On the other hand if you do cuts, fans, spreads, springs, aerials and stuff focused it's XCM. It's called The Encyclopedia of Playing card Flourishes, not T.E.O.X.C.M, right? I at least talk about card flourishes when I talk about card flourishes, not a way of performing them. I'll never start calling anyones material XCM since it is and will always be Card Flourishes.
