There is a quicky bill tear that Jeff McBride does on his 'Magic Of Jeff McBride(?)' set. Not the real torn and restored bill that he does, but he shows this in the interview portion. I have tried this a few times but never seem to be able to get it to look convincing. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and have any advice on how to make it look more "real"? Please feel free to message me if it involves exposure of any sort.
If this is the inappropriate place to post this my apologies and please move to the correct forum. Thanks in advance Shawn

I've used in performance a number of times. It is quite good and the illusion can pass even fairly close-up. I remember doing this about five years ago at a party. I did the bill tear where you bite off the piece of bill with your teeth. Then there is an instant and visible restore. I followed that by "swallowing" come coins (as a chaser) using my Universal Retention Vanish (URV). Thanks for bringing this up, I may use it again. As far as making it look real, remember you are actually tearing the bill and they hear that. The extent of the tear is not revealed to the audience by the method used. You need to act a bit and using the extra piece in your mouth is pretty convincing.

Jack Chanin's Rip It... you just need to be a PERFORMER like Chanin and/or McBride to SELL IT SELL IT SELL IT. And practice and pracice and most of all KNOW the real work.

Sam Berland has a good T&R bill. There are lots of pieces visible. It does not use a TT.

Upon rereading my earlier post, I don't think that I made myself as clear as I needed to. Sorry about that. The bill tear that I was actually referring to is the one where the bill is not torn at all. It is crumpled and then switched from hand to hand in the illusion that it appears torn. I love the version where you actually tear the bill, but whenever I "restore" the bill, there are usually huge gaps from the tear that I can't seem to keep blended like they should be. This alternate version is just something I would do on the fly, when someone asks to see something quick.
