It's not clear if you want to bend the coins and then switch, or if you want to know about a gimmick bend.
It sort of makes a huge difference. Unless you're having the mark initial the coin before bending, then a switch is a lot easier. If you're bending them live, then there's really not a whole heck of a lot out there. That two part pen is about the best I've seen. It escapes me presently who makes it. I like the pen because the gimmick has a reason for being in your hand, because you've just asked the mark to initial the coin......clever. |

The pen is in fact the Boa coin bender by Penguin Magic. I had one but got rid of it because while it was well made I just found it very cumbersome to use.
I think a lot of people assume there is some really high tech gimick to bend coins. Like a hydrolic machine or something hidden up your sleeve. the reality is MUCH lower tech and less exciting I am sad to say. |

How about Roy Kuepper's Superman Coin Bend? I haven't seen a video of it in action, but it's only $40.

HI everyone, the initial idea for Roy's Superman was mine and I worked with Roy to create it and I also wrote the instructions. It works great to bend signed borrowed coins in front of the spectator or just to bend coins at home to switch in later. A bargain for $40.

No one has all the coin bending tools? (from pliers to quantum) Perhaps a review would be good...

There is a gentleman out of woodstock, ontario, canada. that have a trick called "superman" I have it and have used it many times. you borrow a quarter from spectator, you ask them to signe it and you bend it right there in front of them, they keep the coin as a gift of the time they spent helping you

I thought about buying Superman but after reading numerous reviews on many sites the main complain I heard was something along the lines of "only sometimes you can bend their coin and other times you jus t look totally stupid because you can't bend their coin" Either way I did not buy Superman I just switch the coins and use plyers and tools to bend them.

I agree with getting Spun. Morgan teaches how to bend the coin with 2 pairs of pliers and some cardboard. You can also perform the routine floating the coin or just the bending. Plus the spectator signs the coin

Great way to pre bend coins (my own idea BTW )
1. get two bits of wood, put then next to each other with a gap slightly smaller than the coin. 2. place the coin across the gap. 3. place a steel pipe over the coin, parallel to the gap. 4. bang the pipe with a hammer. so you get a bent coin with a nice curve instead of a straight bend like that in a vice, and no tool marks.. |

Yup. It's not terrible. I have it hooked up in my [long-sleeved] jacket for occasional uses.
