Hi,
I was just browsing the penguin magic website, http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=542, and came across this interesting new type of elastic IT which appears to be of a higher quality than the previous type of elastic IT they had. Anyone used it before ? Is it any good ? Would appreciate a small review if anyone would be so kind to do so. Thanks Francois

I am fairly new to different types of threads. I have this one and have tried the Mesika loops. I really don't know brother.

The PET2.0 elastic seems to be exactly the same as the Murphy's professional elastic, it probably is the same thread they just seem to call it something new.
Oh well, The thread is great, very strong and just as invisible as W.N. Best uses: The 3D Wall to Wall hook up or tying your own Loops.. Only downsides: - To elastic for ordinary IT routines (to much bounce). - The elastic comes of a small spool, if your not careful un-winding, the end might break and get stuck inbetween the reminding thread on the spool. If this happens you'll just have to throw it away and buy a new spool (this has happened to me) cause it's impossible to find the loose end.. Still, the elastic is highly reccomended, especially for the uses/routines mentoined above. -e-

To be sure you could send them a mail for confirmation. If it is the same thread be sure to buy a spool, you will not regret it. -e-

Eirik I don't know, I am the last guy to review it on the penguin site. You can see my review on there page, but I am having a really hard time working with these oppose to the first spool I got from them.
This is what I wrote: First I read through all the reviews and see that most if not all where made in 2004. Well I am not ure if they know or not, but you are not getting the same spool as it was in the Demo Video. I bought this once before and got the old version which by the way was great. But now this PET 2.0 is horrible. I spent over and hour and made 26 loops and they all broke. I am not a newbie with Loops either. They all break and they have no tension they stretch way to much and doesn't let you animate like what they had before. I don't know the reason for changing the type of thread or the method(spool). But I highly suggest that they go back to what the demo shows. If not then I am ery dissapointed with this product. But if it is working for you Eirik then ill give it another shot.

If you ask me I say just buy premade loops it is much easier it may cost a bit more in the long run but it is much faster and I get loops on ebay 10 for $8.50

That did'nt sound good Paisa, I thought it was exactly the same thread but just "modified" to make it sound new.
The old Murphy's thread is great for making loops, even Finn Jon bought a spool to try out. If the PET 2.0 is weaker than the Murphy's thread it probably will not work. I tie my own loops when I'm practicing new routines, but I tend to use markeded loops when I perform. -e-

On the subject of the off brand loops I got a batch that were very weak from Penguin. They were freebies with another purchase so I can't complain. But it makes me wonder if anyone gave up on them not knowing better.

Well that is my issue. The mesika Loops are fine but at the rate that they break if not overly careful compared to the price for 5 is what strays me away from getting them.
