When I was a lad, before I became a member of steve kelly's fantastic international club of magic, I was granted a "lifelong" membership in magical youths international by one jesse james, an older gentlement who acted as secretary/treasurer. a recent magic or genii article did not mention him or his influence on myi. mr james was kind and gracious to me both in his correspondence and with his own versions of effects he would sometimes send me.
does anyone else remember jesse james? I owe a great deal of thanks to him as I do steve kelly who allowed me to write for his magazine and generously invited me to stay in his family's house for several nights making possible my once-in-a-lifetime first attendance at an abbott convention. mr. kelly may remember me as an annoyance who kept complaining that myi and icm should merge.

Welcome to the Café, isso!
While I can't answer your question, your might try paying a visit to the "Magicians of Old" forum, to see if anyone here remembers him. The chances are good. |
