I agree with SantaClaus: "O Holy Night".

There is even a webpage where you can download all kinds of people singing it. Good stuff!

Michael Crawford does it best. What's the website?

Another one by someone I'm a major fan of; Weird Al Yankovich.

I kinda liked "It's Christmas At Ground Zero" for the strangeness.

I really HATE "The Night Santa Went Crazy." My daughter heard it and said; "Oooh, someone didn't get their Oscar Meyer weiner whistle!" The live version that I have on the concert tape is ever worse than what was on the album... aparently, the label made Al change the lyrics at the end.

Least:
"Simply Having A Wonderful Christmastime" - Paul McCartney -- too repetitive and boring!
Any despressing/sad Christmas songs have to go! Boo!

Fave:
Brian Setzer's two albums and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's -- Christmas music must be upbeat and fun! Plus neoswing is the best (most classic Christmas songs are indeed swing).

Underground, above ground, whatever. I don't need a label, thanks.

You've got to love Vince Guaraldi's Peanuts Christmas Album. Nothing can bring the Christmas Spirit to you like this album can. Tony Bennett's is teriffic, as is the Carpenters'. Christmas is my favorite time and I spend the rest of the year anticipating it. I also am a short story writer and have written a few pieces on Christmas, perhaps I will publish one on the Café.

Merry Christmas,

I like "Wonderful Christmastime." A "happy" one that I don't like is "Most Wonderful Time of the Year." Just a little "too" happy and cheerful for me. Maybe because it's mostly about going out a visiting people and I don't.

Let's give credit where credit is due.
"The Jolliest Fat Man" was writtten by the creative team
of David L. Lander & Michael McKean (aka Lenny & Squiggy.)
