Does anyone own & work with the copper Jedinat Jumbo cups? I am considering a set of jumbos for the stage and the design on this cup looks good. You can see them on the cups and balls museum site, or at

jumbo cups

Gazzo's cups do seem to get a very high recommendation though.

I don't own, them, but I worked with them a bit. They are nice. But a bit too heavy for me. But then again, they pretty much can stand about any abuse you can think of. Pricy, yes. Worth it, yes.

I've never worked with them as a staple item, but I have a set, as you know. They are nice and heavy, built like mack trucks. They are based on the Willi Seidl Jumbo Cups, which are no longer made. They are about the same inside diameter as the Animal cups, almost like the Super Animals, but they have more attic space.

Here's a comparison.

Jedinat -- 11.7 oz.
Animal -- 8.4 oz.
Seidl -- 7.5 oz.

The Seidl cups are exactly the same size as the Jedinat. The Jedinat cups have thicker metal.

I have the smaller ones in nickel and copper. The way to tell the difference between the Seidl cups and the Jedinat cups is the weight of the metal and the width of the shoulder bead. Once you see them side by side the difference is really obvious. The shoulder bead of the Seidl cups is almost 1 cm wide.

Did I understand that site in that the copper & nickle ones are only 10 Euros?

I think the 10 Euros is the price for a set of balls for the cups. If you read the product description of the Professional copper & nickle cups they state in the bottom to please order balls separately.

Its VERY late in the posting, however these cups are EXCELLENT!! they aren't necessairly the widely known but their quality is high in my book. these cups take the abuse and still have a classy look to them all around. you cant go wrong.

Christian Jedinat takes real pride in his cups. He should. They are currently among the best being manufactured in Europe.

I should add that if you want to order anything from their web site, you don't have to worry about having a problem using English. Heike Jedinat worked for a couple of years in England as a nanny, and her English is flawless.

IF I am doing the currecy coversion correct the cups are going for 258... is this correct? Seems very reasonable for a nice set of street cups with a awsome finish.

I'm just wondering if I did something wrong converting the price.

I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three. Elayne Boosler

If you are looking at these cups:

Art. 1011260

Kupfer patiniert

Art. 1011280
Becherspiel Profiausführung Close up

Nickel

they are not jumbo cups. These are regular cups.

The opening is 70mm and the height is 88 mm.

Their jumbo cups have openings of 78 mm and a height of 98 mm.

The item for 10 euros is a chop cup insert.

I cannot locate the JUMBO cups on their site,
Are they still available?

Thanks.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

I ordered a set about 7 weeks ago, confirmed by their return email (in English). Nothing at my door yet. Maybe they are sending it by rowboat...

The only way to find out would be to send them an e-mail.

They often put the three cups, mouth up, in the ocean with a note in one of them.
