Try this bit. Everyone in the room hold hands get the energy going. Have the person on the end circle around your hand, with their hand. It can be said that the kinetic energy in the room makes the key turn over. Smile

Try coming up with a story that really involves the spectator(s). I do the magic pendulum effect, then do the normal effect, and somteimes will set it on a table and use it in combination with a pk. It honestly is one of my best effects. It is very, very simple, but it is the presentation that drives it, and makes it incredible.

Several years ago I was told how great the Haunted Key was. So I got it. I couldn't figure out how to do it properly, since I'd never seen it done.

I went to the magic store and had it demonstrated. It was after a magic club meeting, and all these magi's were oohing and ahhing. To me it looked like the most boring thing I ever saw in my life!

I've since sold the key to a very happy magician.

Your mileage may vary.

i have always liked the haunted key, but feel that what sells this is a good story, or can be used in conjuction with hypnosis.

I've personally never liked the Haunted Key because I find No maagic in it. It's just a key moving around on your hand, Whats the big deal.

I found my haunted key at a flea market.

It's actually an ancient, massive thing that looks like it had been a jail key or something at one time.

It works great.

I'm somewhat frugal, and the thing only cost a buck.

A good story line is needed.

I've invented a real hair raiser about a ghost who was spotted franticly searching for this key, I found it, now the ghost stays wherever the key is.

I have owned the haunted key for about a year and have been amazed at the reaction I get from it. This is a great trick and I love how it can be used to set the mood early for a show with children. I use it to unlock a magicial world where anything is possible. Don't underestimate the power of this trick, especially when done in someone else's hands.

Sorry, but it never was for me.

However - Alain Nu published a method that puts a twist on the key ...
