Hello, I hope I posted this in the right section. Well, I've had a problem, my magic table currently consists of a weak large table that has a quilt thrown over it. What I've looked at is:
http://www.ronjo.com/Merchant2/merchant.......Count=11 and http://www.Dancingspringmagic.com Dancing spring magic seems to be expensive to ask for becuase my family doesn't really understand what doesn't work about my table now. I am sorry but the answer is not "get a job" though I'd certinaly like to have one at a magic shop. Oh, I almost forgot with the pouches. I really can't afford a 200-300 dollar pouch right now. Does anyone know of a good pouch ( does NOT have to be leather ) or alternative? Thanks guys!

A table depends on your act and what tricks you will be using. If your dad can work with wood, get the table book at Magic Inc. in Chicago. There is a nice folding table in there my dad built for me when I was a young magician. It looks good and does the job well.
If you like the tripod table I would not go for the import tables. They do not hold up. They look like the Ronjo model you referenced. I suggest the Mak-Magic table top and base. The same price but built to service for years. Get it here http://www.stoners.com |

What I suggest is that you save your money and get a Suit-case table. These are very expensive but all your equipment will fit inside for your shows. The Joe Lefler table fits most magic acts. |

Hmmm... sounds like good practice for XC Skiing also I'll look into that. I've already vowed to give my first year of shows for free and tips are common when performing for family. I like that suit case table though...

Kjellstrom did you buy the instructions from Michael Ammar? Did you make them? If you did how does it feel in your opinion? Thanks

ChristianR how did the search go? Did you get a table yet?
Can I ask if you put dove into your act? Maro

Ah, well, I might look into that plan for the micheal Ammar table, so far nothing though. I really want to start Kids Magic so a smaller table would be pererferred. I found that Congo drum stands are very sturdy and portable, so I might get one and make a table off that. My dealer has a $150 table but its a bit to small. I have no doves, though I wish I did. I have a dog so doves and rabbits probably arn't the best idea, maybe a spring puppet. Its getting late so I am going to sign off.

A percussion trap table is probably a great option.
I'm very proud of my own solution. I bought a black music stand -- these just came out -- the hardware looks really substantial and cool -- not flimsy or dorky at all. The stand part folds down flat, the height is adjustable, and by coincidence it perfectly fits my close-up pad (medium size.) It breaks apart and packs up pretty well...it really looks pretty professional. And the best part? Forty bucks. That's right...$40.00! Ta - da! It's the Fort FMS-24-B - scroll down (it's the one with holes in it -- not visible when covered with your pad.) The hinged tablet folds flat. http://www.fortstands.com/musicstands.htm Click here to view attached image. |

The table was a long term project but its wrapping up. Its a very heavy table but that for me is NOT an issue, it looks perty. Pics posted soon.
