I believe this is not overpriced. Eric created a new method that it is not worth the hundreads of dollars of other CTWs. However this is the thing. The setup requires doing it in a place were you are going to perform this effect several times. If you work on a restaurant and there is a good window, you may place it there and allways do that effect there. Or in your living room maybe. But it is just too difficult you can prepare to do this most of the time. I was extremely dissapointed with Card threw TV. And I don´t like at all Eric James teaching. Not that he is not clear, but the way he talks makes the video long and a little boring. I repeat, the method is very clever and it is worth only compared to the prize of other CTW.

To me..it is more suitable as an effect in a book, along with other material.Of course it is good to see fresh ideas,it was not something that would be worth the money that's being asked for it.
I don't think the presentation was of high price quality.I believe if you're going to come up with an effect, and put it on DVD,and charge a high price,at least make the quality of the teaching reflect on the price. The ideas are novel, but in my opinion, some need a little more polishing.Hopefully, he will look into dressing it up some, and polish up the instructive presentation, but he has some good ideas indeed. I've searched the Café, but I unfortunately couldn't find an straight answer. I've been interested in this product since it was first released, and it's recieved a lot of mixed reviews since then. Now, I have a pre-purchase question--
Can the card vanish from the other side of the glass once it initially appears there? In other words-- does this DVD offer a method for a cheap man's WindowMation? I want to give a spectator a completely free choice from a deck of cards. The deck will be thrown at a nearby window and a card will appear on the other side with its back facing outward. I then want to reach up to the window, and pull it back through the glass. This can only be accomplished if the card vanishes from the other side when I want it to. Someone please respond. Thanks. Ray.

But, if you understand the principle required to place the card on the glass, which I am sure you do, then some browsing at Radio Shack should give you some ideas on how to build your own. I want to give a spectator a completely free choice from a deck of cards. I don't think this is possible with any CTW effect. With the setup required, free choice is out of the question. I myself was pleased with the DVD, even though others were not. Some say most of the methods on the demo, were either not explained on the dvd, or not possible in the real world. I found all of them to be explained and possible. Someone with your experience, might find the dvd not that helpful though. Phil |

Hi there,
There actually is a version on the DVD which kind of accomplished what Ray is talking about. I don't wana give away the secret so I'll describe what the spectator sees. Spec picks and signs card, card is lost in deck, deck is thrown against window. Signed card is seen to be on the other side of the window. Magician then pulls the card back through the window and hands it to spec. Now this version has some MAJOR draw backs don't get me wrong. Mainly that the spectator cannot touch or come too close to the card when it is on the other side of the window. I've done this version before and it has played pretty well but it does take some pretty big balls and some considerable experience with spectator management. It's one of those perfect for TV kind of effects. I'm not a particularly big fan of the DVD as a whole it's no more than a 6/10 for me but it does give you quite a few ideas to work with. Hope that helps, Phil |

The comments from most of the respondents in this forum are pretty negative about this product. Is anyone enthusiastic about the Kennedy and other methods for CTW? Regardless of the price, is there a version that is clearly superior to the others?
Thanks.
