I'm having some trouble with my book, Elastrix. I read an old post bout this, but still doesn't help. I'm getting stuck with this 1/4 turn business. Please PM me with some detailed info! Thanks in advanced Smile

There are several videos out that can help you. Harry Lorayne's Magical Classics, also Michael Ammar, Tom Mullica's video teaches this, and Greg Wilson's video, "Off the Cuff," all have variations on the broken and restored rubberband.

Put down Elastrix and run to your favorite dealer to buy a tape/DVD of rubberband effects. If you tell your dealer specifically what you are looking for, you will be directed to the best source.

The reason you are having difficulty is because it is almost impossible to describe the twists and turns necessary to perform a lot of this stuff. However, if you can see it performed with the teacher saying 'turn it this way' or 'twist your hand like this,' you can easily follow what is happening.

I highly recommend Chris Smith at MagicSmith. His site is http://www.magicsmith.com. He is a great guy, runs a first class operation, and will give you accurate advice.

Effect: You stretch a rubberband between your fingers to show it whole. You break it and show the band as one long string. You 'magically' restore the band to its unbroken form. Uses only one band and a move to set it up that is incredibly difficult to describe in written words.
