I am little nervous in case I didn't spend long enough looking for an anser here to my question, but here goes.

Is this a place where I can pose puzzles to anyone here interested just for the sake of doing so? Or is it more of a resource on where to get them (physical puzzles etc.)

Also, if I don't know the name of puzzles I love to share how will I know if they have already been dredged out on the board without going through all the pages?

You may post any type of puzzle here. There are some top notch puzzleheads around here. It's a place to post puzzles and people can try to solve them. If you're not sure about it, just post it. If it has been here before someone will let you know that it was posted previously.

Awesome, let's start easy.

Nine coins of equal weight with the exception of one which is lighter. You have a balance scale in front of you.

With only two measurements, can you discover the coin with 100% accuracy every time that differs?

Label the coins A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I.

1st weighing: weigh ICE vs HAD
2nd weighing: weigh FED vs CAB

Better yet, label the nine coins with the following characters:

1-B
2-U
3-S
4-M
5-O
6-N
7-E
8-Y
9-?

First weigh

NO? vs YES

and then weigh

ME? vs YOU

Or:
W,A,N,T,
C,O,D,E,?

With
ONE vs WAY
ACE vs TWO

Everyone is putting 3 coins in each weighing. I would have:
- Taken ABC vs DEF
- If equal weight
>Weigh G vs H
>If different, you know the lighter coin
>If equal, I is the lighter
- If ABC/DEF are unequal, weigh two from the lighter set
>Either the lighter coin will be evident from the inequality, or
>If the second weighing is equal, the target coin is the one from the lighter set that was not weighed a second time.

Ok. My answer is much more convoluted. I like the BUS MONEY one!

Or you could just ask the coin because I forgot to tell you they talk and stuff.
