Hi there.
I just wanted to hear what you guys think about the effect "Infusion" by Geir Bratlie? Have someone looked into it, and if so - what do you think? It's available at Ellusionist. He's a fellow Norwegian, so it would be cool to hear what you think. Is it new? Or is it another Ellusionist RipOff?

I'v seen a similar method in script, belive it was Michael Skinners "coin and cup" routine from early '80. He did use a plastic cup and the penetration was not this visual.
Bratlie's version looks really really good, only downside with this effect is that you'd just looove to see this with the lid on. Jack.

Looks like a flawless variation of the Williamson S.V.
Seems like this routine will work well in combination with several other Impromptu effects... -e-

Nice little cutie! Eirik is right here, Williamson would be proud of this variation on his work. Gier uses it in a creative way in this effect. I have seen his work before and he's an exceptional magician, especially with coin and cards. The guys as good as it gets technically, he can do anything. His presentations are always a treat.

I bought this last week and really like it. Has Geir Bratlie released anything else or is this his first release?

I think this is his first I don't know if he's a member, but if you don't come from Norway (jimfl) it wouldn't matter
It's funny, I remember he had a video of this on the magicvideodepot, and I commented how clean and great it was

I agree the trick looks clean. The snapple bottle looks the hardest but the best.

If you think the Snapple bottle is hard you should see Michael Weber do his original version using a regular bottle, with a small neck, and a marked dime.
As we have come to expect from the E-magic folks, it's someone else's trick which can be found in a BOOK filled with extra tricks. Given how well known Michael Weber is, how well known his book Lifesavers is, and the fact that the original effect of this type, by Ross Bertram, was in the Lewis Ganson books on close up, I has to assume that nobody at Ellusionist has ever read a magic book, or they just don't care that they're selling other people's ideas... |

This is a brilliant visual effect which I use often. In fact, I was at a work Xmas party for 400 people last night, where we had a well known magician as the entertainer, and everyone wanted to see me do this, which didn't make me too popular with the professional magician.

Does anybody know if the Snapple bottle version of this trick is done while the lid is supposedly still screwed tight to the top of the bottle?

I've been doing this trick, like some others have, using only a glass cup. I had never thought of doing it with a bottle until I read about it...of course I tried it and it wasn't really hard to do.
I then added the cap...it is just a tad bit more difficult but can be done. You kinda need large enough hands...and it fools when done right. johnny

In my opinion this trick It looks to me like another application for the striking vanish and I tried the effect with the striking vanish and it looks the say as in the demo play with the idea of the striking vanish think you'll see what I mean if you try it.

I agree that this is a little too obvious version of the striking vanish. Looks really good at first, but can be figured out with minimum thought.

Well, a magician could figure this out. I doubt a layperson could. Neat application of the move.
