I'm looking to perform the Flicking Fingers Silk/Rose effect from the Flicking Fingers DVD...He seems to be using a fairly small silk though (small enough for a F***** T**); anyone know the size and/or where I can find one?
Thanks! E
Your EFFECT is only as good as its AFFECT.

E,
For a few decades I've been using 5 momme real silks in my stage show. The 9" square or the 12" Diamond Cut will both fit into a Vernet TT for me. I prefer the 9" square but the rest of the world likes the 12" Diamond Cut. That's because a 12" Diamond Cut hangs like an 18" square but takes the space of a 9" square. We do import a 6" silk but they are mostly used for toy manufacturers. There is one commercial trick using a red, yellow and blue 6" silk that becomes a 9" silk with all three colors in a diagonal pattern (SilkMagic.Biz). Enjoy! Bob Sandes Magic By Sander |

What os this effect? I saw the DVD a while back but cant for the life of me remember it. I'm working on a similar sounding idea, so would be good to know!
Thanks Gary |

To me it looks like he uses a 9-inch silk square. But he tends to hold it diagonally during the routine so it may very well be a 6-inch square. We'll need hear from Bob to see what size will best fit in a f****r t*p.

Jimmy,
Thank you for the vote of confidence but this time you have exceeded my polygon of technical feasibilitiy. (I just don't know!) The 6" silks do come in any of the 13 standard colors. Check with Ricker and see if he knows the prop here. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |
