I was told Mac has a comedy routine where he uses envelopes containing a spectators money and burns the envelopes...can anyone describe the routine (just the routine) in detail? It sounds very funny.

Sounds like what Michael Finney, John Ferrentino, tons of other magicians (and I have a routine, too!) have been doing for years. It will depend upon your personality, spectator handling and how you reproduce the bill to make it funny. Basically situational comedy with lines and bits thrown in, and the spectator's reactions to certain situations make this routine what it is.

Marc,
Terry Seabrooke published his routine, Burnt Note in Wallet, back in 1986 in "Seabrooke's Book: Around The World With A Baking Tin". This is a great bit, and easy to make your own, IF you have the comedy chops. Check it out. Carl |

When I saw his act last, he pulled the $ out of a phone.
I believe he pulled the phone out of his shoe ...?

Back on Memorial Day weekend of the past year, I was pulled up on stage and assisted in the money routine. The money reappeared in the "speaking" part of an old phone receiver. The mouthpiece had to be unscrewed and the money was inside. I think the phone did come out of his shoe ala the old stone in shoe gag. Very funny show, every routine well thought out and lots of call backs throught the entire show.

Yea, Mac really puts on one heck of a show!
Not to be missed if going to Vegas!
The power is within us all...I'm just a little more full of it.
