Most of the performance only dvds were either once tv specials, or las vegas acts.

Greatest Collection of Magic Performances ever Assembled on dvd from l and l publishing. It used to be free with any order. I'm not sure if you can still buy it seperately or not.

I hope that this is the proper place to make this post.
I was just told that Lew Brooks' DVD "Stack Attack" is about to be released. It is most of his book (by the same title) on DVD. You will see how Lew performs his effects from the book. Performance and full explanations as I understand it. I am looking forward to it. I have seen Lew perform several of these effects for "real people" (and Magi) and he gets great responses. I have added a couple of his ideas in my repertoire (sp?). I will give a full review when (and if) I can obtain a copy. Hope y'all had a good Holiday season & have a good 2006. Tony V |

I agree with the 3 Cyril street dvd's are very good. too bad they are only available in region 2 from Japan. so that more people can enjoy his magic.

Hi
I was wondering if anyone know any links to purchase Cyril and THEM DVDs? Region 2 is fine. Thanks Phil |

You can get the Cyril dvd's from Yesasia.com just do a search for Cyril in the video section and his 3 dvd's will pop up.
they are called Super Street Magic Cyril Magazine. it will take about 1-2 weeks for them to get it and then they will ship it to you. and if you purchase anything over $39 you can get the shipping for free. which takes about a week to get it to you from the time they mail it to your address. remember these are region 2 only dvd's. |

I would add that these dvds are in Japanese language, and that there is no subtitles. but you can still enjoy them since its the magic that anyone can enjoy.

That's great, I have an all region dvd player.
And I'm sure language is not a problem with magic |

Anyone know where I can get the World's Greatest Magic series shown on TV? Apparently they do sell them in VCD format. Help?

One that's not been mentioned so far is Don Alan's Magic Ranch. Unfortunately it's only available on tape, although Todd Karr has said that he's made an agreement to put these out on DVD at some point. We can ask him later this month when he's the guest of honor at the Café. Stevens Magic lists the VHS tapes for $97.50 (http://www.stevensmagic.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=149).

I have been out of the loop on this, but I thought Criss Angel said in either Genii or Magic magazine that his season 1 dvd would have extended cuts of many of his tricks- plus, many other tricks that were edited for time constraints. From what I have seen so far the episodes are exactly as the way they appeared on A&E. Did I miss something?
Thanks- |

Siegfried and Roy have a couple. Don't think they've been mentioned, but if they were, sorry.

After the season was over I was looking forward to seeing some extras on the dvd. I was really looking forward to seeing the bullet catch episode. Are there any hidden features on the dvds that anyone knows of? I would have liked to see some unseen footage and some outtakes..... |

The mindfreak season 1 dvd contains ONLY the episodes shown on tv. there are no extra unshown episodes.
there were 2 special episodes containing uncut version of some tricks. these are not on the dvds. and neither is the halloween special. |

I love it when someone resurrects a 10-year old thread, as if no time whatsoever has passed here in cyberspace. Although a few have suggested titles that don't really exist (legally) in the DVD format, the following do:
The Tricks of His Trade (Harry Anderson TV special) Live From the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Paul Daniels) The Magic of Max Malini (Paul Daniels) Fred Kaps, Seeing is Believing (various live performance TV clips) |
