Hello ,
I was wondering who are some of the fastest people to perform Houdini's Metamorphisis?? |

Without a doubt, the Pendragons have performed it the quickest. I'd say it takes them a good second to do the change. LOTS of practice.

I think the Pendragons hold the world record for doing the Metamorphisis. You can see it on their website.

The Pendragons are amazing at the metamorphisis. The first time I saw them perform it was on "The Worlds Greatest Magic" (Oh how I miss those). I watched it in slow motion and just went WOW. It's great; they are so good but now I can't watch anyone else do it because everyone else now looks so slow!

Hallo to everyone,
The fastest classic version of the Sub Trunk for me is done by the Pendragons. Concerning the version followed by this I would say that David Copperfield version called " Cocoon" is aswell very fast. As Hans Klok is very fast in doing all his illusions he would come 3rd on my listing. I'm only talking about the transformation, not about the whole sceenery.
May all your days be magical

Copperfields "Cocoon" uses uses the same cloth handling as the the Pendragons. He had to get permission to use it. The Pendragons hold the record at .25 seconds!

The cloth handling is known as the "hourglass move"... I think it really adds to the presentation of the illusion! Johnathan was featured in MAGIC Magazine (I believe it was last year sometime). He gave some pretty descriptive detail of their trunk... I forget who the maker was; however, the Pendragons are without a doubt the fastest at this!
I heard rumor some years back that Charlette injured herself doing this...she slipped and cracked a rib or fractured her back (not sure)...and they still completed the routine! If this is true, that is pretty impressive!!! Bryan |

The Pendragons are fast, but the Majestix are right up there too as well as Copperfield and I'd probably say Terry Evanswood

Although it's not the classic version of Houdini's Metamorphisis, Greg Frewin's
Shrouded Transition is really fast and so is John Taylor's Suspended Animation. |

Saw them and they are for sure the fastest. They have practiced it to total perfection.

Lusion,
For me the top is faster. But I use the top because I get audience members to stand around the illusions( sides back , every one else at the front) |
