For the last several years I have been using QuickBooks Pro for my business accounting. Well I had upgraded to Quickbooks 2005 and do like it. However, now they want me to move up to 2006 version, and they even give me a "HUGE" discount of $20 so it will only cost me $379.95. This is without the tax tables that are extra

Sorry, but this thing of over $300 a year just to keep to a new version because they will no longer support the old stuff is more than I want to pay.

What programs do you guys and ladies recommend for accounting.

I have also been using Quicken and it has helped a lot. Especially during tax time!

How often do you use support??

If the old version works for you
stick with it.

I've used Quick Books for 5-6 years
and only up graded once.

I also have an older version of Quicken, but it works for me and for what I need it to do. I have not upgraded to a newer one cause I have found that this version still does what I ask it to do for me. Timothy brings up a good point. If your version is working and giving you all you need it to, then there may not be a need to upgrade so soon. Just some thoughts.

Thanks guys. When I booted up quickbooks and saw the notice trying to sell me a new version I got a little upset. I'll keep it for a few more yers.
