Hi,
I begun this topic inside another one in the card section, but it worths a new topic. I noticed that online there's not a real exaustive magic enciclopedia. Wouldn't be wonderful having a place where you can type the name of an effect and read the description, the original author, the name of the most known performers, its variations, and the link to the sites selling it? Or if you are a novice and you don't know what does a term means, having a place where you can find a good definition (impromptu, gaff, misdirection, etc...). And I would like to have a similar site where anyone (well, any magician) can add his own definitions for new terms, effects, magician's biographies, and so on. What do you think about it? Dave |

It's what I was talking about. Creating a magicpedia written by magicians only.

There's a good start on the wiki. Add what you want there.

If you tried to find one by searching "enciclopedia," you would come up blank, because that's not the correct spelling. It's "encyclopedia." Google might make the correction, but other search engines would not. I'm not trying to pick on you here, mind you, I'm trying to inform you.
There are some excellent books that have some of this information in them. How are you going to keep the lookie-loos away from the important things that we would like to keep secret?
