Todd Karr has taken magic books and given them a really magical look and feel. His sense of history has led him to give us new, important editions of works by Sam Sharpe, Karl Germain, David Abbott and many others.
Our Art is richer for his efforts. Welcome, Todd. Matt Field |

Hi, everyone! Thanks to Steve for having me here! Just getting the gears rolling here at The Miracle Factory today in Marina del Rey near Los Angeles. The seals are barking, the seagulls are crowing, and the ocean roar is in the background. More later, but for now: John and OS and Daniel...hope to get to know you guys better, too. Matt Field: the new Magic Circular looks great. JG: The Cardini book is moving forward slowly but beautifully (John Fisher's manuscript is great and we will be visiting the Cardini family soon to copy all their photos and documents)...Kregg: in the works are Roy Benson by Starlight (finally!), and books by Gaetan Bloom, Martin Gardner, and Jonathan Pendragon. More soon!

Welcome to the Café, Todd! What a pleasure it is having you here. I absolutely love House of Mystery and Mystery School and can hardly wait for the Cardini and Bloom books. What's next from Martin Gardner (and when can we expect it)? I was surprised and excited to see his name on your list.

Hey, Guy and Bonjour, Chrystal
The Martin Gardner book is slowly getting started. By contract with the late Jay Marshall, I will be publishing a new edition of Martin's wonderful Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic, including Martin's 20+ years of notes on additions, as well as new effects by contemporary magicians and hopefully commentary by a top name. We're behind on this one, but hopefully it will be out soon. |

Welcome Todd! Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks for the great books too! The art of magic is much richer because of your efforts.
Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.

Todd -- many thanks for the compliment.
Regarding Martin Gardner's Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic, the late Bob Read told me that was his favorite magic book. Matt Field |

This is wonderful news indeed on the Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic! Long one of my most cherished magic books, an effect from this book actually got me an 8 trade show deal with Siemans, Ltd (Canada) back in 1980 - which was my first real venture into the trade show market!
I look forward to it! Lee Darrow, C.H.
