I have an effect on the market called "Mental Clip". You can find it on my website on the magicians page. I hope this helps!

I don't do any cigarette manipulation but I have noticed that if you roll a post-it note up around a pencil it forms a cigatette sized tube.
One slightly narrower tube can be fitted down the inside of another tube.
The tubes can be crumpled into a small clean ball.

Could this be a way of working cigarette skills back into magic?
Roll up one post-it and then produce & vanish others.
Just a thought.

All the best.

Jamie,

Steve Shrott recently published a book exclusively on Post-It note magic called Amazing Tricks with Self-Stick Notes. It was available at the Browser's Den and not expensive. The book was well reviewed at Visions ( http://www.online-visions.com/reviews/0505self-stick.html ). I have not read the book. One of these days I will get around to buying it.

Does anyone know where this booklet can be purchased? A Google search did not reveal anything productive in this regard. Thanks for any info.

My favorite Post-it note effect had to be the one presented in Genii...Or Magic a couple of months ago. I don't remember who contributed it. It has a David Acer feel to it.

The Magician walks onto stage with Post-it notes all over his jacket and has individual cards written on them. The performer explains that he lost his cards and made an impromptu deck out of Sticky notes. A card is thought of and the performer reveals it.

When the applause dies down the performer takes off his jacket only to find the missing deck in the pocket. "Oh...Here they are."

Hilarious.

I have been practicing Osterlind's Perfected Center tear with a small square post-it note pad. No need to cut off the sticky part. It lends itself very well to the pct. Maybe folding it closed using the sticky side provide more psychology.

I have the spectator draw a fish on a post-it and produce a live goldfish from it
