Hi everyone,
It seems your all having fun as always! I am currently in Paris for a TV Show and I was wondering if any one here has ever been to or knows where the grave site of Robert-Houdini is ? I would like to try and visit it before I leave. Thanks for any information you can provide. Dean |

I forget where he's buried, but it's right outside of Paris. He has a giant monument (probably 15+ feet high) with a very large cross on top. Can't be too hard to find with a large image of him on the front. Pretty sure there is a street named after him, not to mention his house was still around too up to about 20 years ago.
After you find Gene, see if you can pick me up Houdini-era material in French while you there.

Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin died June 13, 1871, St. Gervais, near Blois, which was also his town of birth as I understand it.
I'm certain the locals would know precisely where he's buried or entombed. The mayor of Blois is/was Nicolas Perruchot, and his contact information is here: http://www.assemblee-nationale.fr/12/tri......7209.asp Regards, -jjg (A big fan, and getting bigger every day) |

Just make sure that if his decendants refuse to see you that you are bigger about it than harry was...

Nah... Do it like Harry did. This way you become famous instead of a footnote.
Only kidding. Don't get your automatons all bent out of shape.

Well, if my automatons get bent out of shape...maybe I can use the remnants to make lock picks. Or sell them as collectables on ebay.

Give our regards to the great one on our behalf.
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."
