His routine has a lot of similarity with Gary Ouellet's routine. >> I also heard of Glenn Bisshop routine, >> but is it available on dvd/video & were can I buy his dvd. It's no longer in the market. If you want to get it, you have to trade with others who own it. |

I own the Phil Cass video but not the DVD.
Presumably they are the same with just an update to a newer format. The video contains more than just the three shell game. It's also got several other effects that are very solid, commercial effects but they are not necessarily new or original. That's not a bad thing since everything on the video has been polished through years of public performance but, if you're well read, you'll find very little that's new here. His 3 shell game is Gary Ouellet's super shells but done with a certain presentational style that keeps the entire room mesmirized. Anyone who's seen Bob Kohler's routine, which also depends heavily on Oullet's routine, will see a lot of similarities. The main difference is the challenge aspect which Phil plays to the fullest in order to keep everybody watching. It will take a cartain type of person to use this routine verbatim but it is extremely interesting to see how Phil was able to take a published routine and maximize its entertainment value for his venues. I would like to add that I've seen Phil do his routine live a couple of times and every time he keeps the whole room focused on what he is doing. The audience during his video performance happens to be full of knowledgeable magicians so, while they are busy watching him, they don't give out the same reactions that he gets from most audiences and you can tell that he's not used to that. Because of this, I think the routine appears less deceptive and less entertaining than it really is. I hope this is enough information to help. Dave |

How is Phil's Fisherman's Warf routine? Did it make it onto the DVD as well?

Yes,the Fisherman's warf is on the DVD.After a VERY entertaining 3 shell game it comes as pretty flat IMO.
