I was doing some searching of various magic names and discovered some odd finds. Brad Christian of the ELLUSIONIST owns a few like magician.com and illusionist.com. no suprises their. But under sleightofhand.net, I found that FOX/ABC Familly owns the name. Why would a TV station want that name? Sounds like trouble brewing. Nothing is posted under the name yet. yet.
Chad They also own sleightofhand.org! |

It's almost scary how domain names are being snatched up from under us. I lost my domain name awhile ago to some medical corporation. Why, I don't know, but they grabbed it from under me the day it expired, just as I was getting ready to renew. And to top it all off, it was based on a combination of my last name and a word that I completely made up, so I know that it was unique and had nothing to do with anything....kinda like this post I guess which has nothing to do with Cards....
How 'bout them Cards!? |

Archmiro,
Sorry to hear it, but you could have easily renewed it before you allowed it expire. Once the expiration date comes and goes without renewal, any domain name is fair game. Quote: I see what you mean, but frankly it's all predicated on money. Closeup magic just doesn't have the visibility with the public that street magic or large illusion shows do. And even if some closeup stuff does get regretably exposed, we have a lot more methodology to draw from than the average stage illusionist has.
Why would a TV station want that name? Sounds like trouble brewing. Nothing is posted under the name yet. yet. Not to mention, the last few exposure shows got abysmal ratings. If I were a fox executinve, from a purely "dollars and cents" perpsective, I probably wouldn't be that interested in producing more of these.

The first time I visited magician.com I had ad blocking software running but I revisited with it switched off and I see why you think those domains are registered to him. I don't think they are though, it looks like the site's owner is just running a banner ad to make some money. Look at http://www.betterwhois.com/bwhois.cgi?domain=magician.com
