I'm really excited for Cars, Over the Hedge, Ratatouille, and Flushed Away.

To Scott Cram: I hardly think being a stockholder should be your primary reason for being excited about Cars. And, if it is, you should be even more excited about Ratatouille.

I would agree with you if in fact it didn't appear to be a decent film.

I was excited for V is for Vendetta, then I found out it was rated R. Superman Returns, Pirates of the Carribean, M:I III, Casino Royale, and tons of others.

And "Bambi II", of course.

Mr. Townsend,
I believe the movie you are referring to is called, "Night Watch". It is comming out today in limited release (Major Metro Areas Only). I hope it is released to the rest of us soon. Looks fantastic and it will be a trilogy.

You mean like the graphic novel of it? no. But I did read the plot and I'm always interested in totalitarianist government stories. I love reading books involving that, like Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, etc., so this movie excited me.

I'm also on the lookout for "Over the Hedge". Seems like a good movie in the previews.

No? It's in print and inexpensive and available and got MUCH recognition from the comic community. It's an impressive work and almost cinematic.

Treat yourself to a good read. Heck it's even got a couple of songs.

Fantastic. Night Watch has been dubbed "The Russian Matrix". Let's hope the comparrison ends here, though. We don't want another Reloaded.

I disagreed with you on "Bambi II." However, there's a coming attraction before Bambi II that just made my blood curdle.

The Fox and The Hound II

First off, TF&TH wasn't that great a film to begin with that it needed a sequel (or "interquel" as the case may be.) But at least it was true to itself. While Todd and Copper talked and played like children, it was understood that they were animals. They didn't talk to humans, they didn't have hands, they didn't use tools, etc.

Now, for this film, Todd gets jelous because Copper gets involved with a band of bluesgrass playing dogs! Then, supposedly, we're supposed to go back to the semi-serious events of the first film with the nature preserve and the bear!

Spare me.

My brother lives down in Charlotte N.C. and called last night to gloat that he had seen Night Watch there. He said it was a great movie with subtitles, but a little hard to follow in places. All in all though he said a very worthwhile experience.

He's so lucky.

Well, I would think that distinction would be reserved for an upcoming (hopefully) movie called The Beast. (If it comes out. Apperently they've been a bit silent about it..)
