We're stumped. We've already figured out various candy, choc kiss, etc. loads but since we'll be in a hospital, we can't use candy in this particular instance. This routine will play for table oriented close-up for a Valentines Day party for kids and then also for older teens.

The final load doesn't have to be a give-away. We're scratching our heads so I'm going to head out to Target this weekend to search the aisles for inspiration, but if one of you brilliant Café folk has an idea, then I'd be interested.

Thanks as always for your help.

What about a little stuffed animal holding a heart or whatever.

Go to your favorite store and get a 3 pound package of candy hearts. Get some cellophane and make up a few dozen wrapped loads of candy hearts.

I just picked up some nice old fashioned looking build a bears for under a dollar a piece at toys r us. They fit great in a standard size cup. Also use them in a one cup coffee cup routine. Comes with insertible heart and soccer jersey. I use these as giveaways for many kids. The ladies really dig these little bears too.

I'm ashamed of you guys. He needs to go for realism! Definately a cow heart. Unless you can get a hold of a cadaver from a medical school.

There are some balloons that are heart shaped (and in red).. they are heart shaped when flat so can be blown up to a suitable size. fill the balloon with heart shaped confetti and red glitter before inflating....Pop after production and use this as misdirection to produce a knapkin or real rose.

I misread the initial post about NO CANDY. Sorry about that.

Almost every major city has a party outlet that has lots of Valentine's Day stuff in it. One hint, though. When working hospitals, do not use anything made of latex. Some kids have a problem with allergy to latex.

Hello ,I have given away napkin roses,as suggested above, on valentines day in the hospital. They cost pennies apiece and can be made up the day before. You then don't have to worry about diet or latex restrictions. Glenn

Hello:

If you are going to work for young children in a hospital setting I suggest not using small cute stuffed animals. The reason is simple: They will WANT the darn things. I think you might find that you get some disappointment that is best avoided. Happened to me.

Consider something like a can of or small jar of cherries. Has the right color and with thought you can get the loads in without noise or figure out how to cover it up. Very strong load. Bright red balls are nice for Valentine's. Produce balls and while kids are looking at and touching them you steal two sponge balls and produce them by Pulling them off the solid balls. Go into a sponge routine. Sponge Rabbits work same, etc. Best,
