Is the magic shop a thing we will only be able to tell our children about?

I am afraid that we are heading in that direction. I wonder how many of the already old shops will still be around in 5 years? Harder to find a good shop and also hard to find competent people to demonstrate the tricks.

The old shops will live on for a long time. It is time for a new generation of magic shop. I hear Dean Dill has combined a barber shop and magic shop. I have plans for a combo type magic shop. I think this is the future of a lot of retail busineses not just the magic and novelty shops. There was a store in Royal Oak, Mi that I visted several times called The Wonderground. This was back in 1995/96. They had just opened a store with a small theaeter and I think they even had an old fashion soda fountain. I never knew what happened to that shop on main street. I was only in MI for the winter of 1995 performing for Ford and UAW. I also think the Old Stores will be around for a long time...

Steven MT,
and isn't it a bad thing - I remember my first visit into 'Davenports', a magic shop in the U.K, a visit I made several years ago now. A visit I will always remember - it will be a sad loss.

I sometimes shop at other shops, but that is rare. 99% of my business to to those stated above. I support each of these shops because 1) there are no magic shops near me (save Owens), and 2) each of these shops love magic more than making a buck. They're in it for the greater good of our fine art. When I invest my dollar, I want it to do the best for me AND magic. Just my two cents.

Magic Galore and More, The best kept secret in Orange County for Magicians. This is one of the best shops I have been to. Ken the owner is very cool and whatever he dose not have on the shelf he can order it in for you. Order Mon-Wed and have it in on Fri. Thanks for everything Ken "You Rock"

The magic warehouse, and I'm ashamed to say penguin magic, sometimes.
An amatuer practices untill he gets it right, a professinal practices untill he can't get it wrong.

Don't wait for oppurtunity to knock, throw open the door, grab it by the throat and drag it inside kicking and screaming.

Magically yours

Magic Warehouse tends to have the best prices. Hank Lee does have some decent sales though. Subscribe to the shops weekly emails and you can get notified when the sales do occur.

I have ordered from Elmwood magic and MJM magic from Jeff, right here through the Magic Café. He is a great guy, who will help you find what you are looking for, and he is very competitive price-wise.

I have never ordered from MagicProShop, but I wanted to at one time. He just never had what I wanted in stock.
