What would be the best type of projector to use for corporate / banquet room type shows...for the purpose of projecting a card trick onto a screen? Does anyone have any advice on brand, Lumens?, etc.
Thanks, Cody S. Fisher

Cody,
Your regional projector dealers are full of it. And by that I mean advice and formulas on calculating the perfect projection system for your desires. In the banquet type situation they should all work fairly well as long as the length of the throw isn't too far from the source and the amount of stray light in that area of the projector can be kept down somewhat. The trouble comes when trying to do the big screen projections from a long distance. I would go with economy issues and perhaps try to rent a projector or ask if one can be supplied for your show...many hotels hosting corporate stuff have this stuff available these days. The real key is that some are much easier to operate and set up than others. I think. Hope that helps.

Most LCD type projectors used for Powerpoint or Keynote presentations also have an input for other devices. If you have a basic digital video camera, that could do it.
I do a lot of presentations in my day job. This type of projector is commonly available as a rental through the banquet facility. |
