Hello,
It is my sad duty to announce that Werner Seitz, known as Parcifal on this board, passed away suddenly as the result of a stroke on January 27th. Today (12 Feb) would have been his 66th birthday. Werner loved magic and had been performing since the 1950s. He had a great enthusiasm for the art and a willingness to share with others. He is survived by his wife Lis. This post has been written by Roderick Ramsay, his nephew-in-law, as Lis cannot use the machine. If you have any messages of sympathy they can be mailed to me at rjramsay@rjramsay.net and I will pass them on. thank you |

Werner will be sorely missed by me as I enjoyed reading all of his posts, he really did love magic. My condolences go out to wife Lis. May he rest in peace.

There's a thread on Werner's passing here. He was a very experiencing, caring and sharing man who will be missed by many.

Dear All,
I posted the first post on this thread earlier from Werner's computer. I apologise for the double posting, I did not realise that there was another thread. Werner had been practicing magic for 50 years. Although he is probably associated with Denmark he was not Danish by birth. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1940 and met his future wife at a magic convention in 1959. She, Lis, is the daughter of another famous magician Haakon Edeling. Haakon was a founder of the Danish Magic Circle and won several prizes in international competition. Werner moved to Denmark to be with Lis in 1963 and they were married in 1966. Their 40th wedding anniversary would have been in May. Aside from magic Werner was a lovely man. He was warm, friendly and devoted to Lis. They were not blessed with children and Werner had outlived all his own family. It is not an exaggeration to suggest that the magic community was Werner's family. He loved the art and he loved the communion with those that shared his passion. I have very fond memories of him dazzling my daughter, his great-neice, with coin tricks. We miss him very much. Lis is not one for computers or emails and would like to thank all those who have expressed their condolences. Werner's email address is probably best regarded as closed now. If anyone wants to reach Lis, for any reason, I will happily pass on any messages. Roderick Ramsay rjramsay@rjramsay.net |
