Instead of doing this effect as a puzzle I would like to add some short patter, story etc to it. I could use some help on ideas. Im thinking something like twilight zone, alice through the rabbit hole, stepping through a mirror to another dimension, etc. it would have to be fairly short though. Any ideas?

Ellisd,
I wouldn't mind helping, but I am unfamiliar with Wonderland Bill. Without giving away the secrets, can you explain what the spectator sees with this effect. I would be more likely to offer story patter if I had that information. Break a Wand, Kipp Sherry |

This effect is built on a principle introduced into magic by Robert Neale as the "Trapdoor Card." He got the idea from an article by Martin Gardner in Scientific American.
Terri Rogers put out an effect called Star Gate that used a card, as well. It would be a good idea to see if you could track down the version with a card, because you could do that with any rectangular piece of cardboard or paper.

I made one that was red on one side, and white on the other.
My patter was short, but straight out of Isaiah 1:18
