Hi everyone,

I want to learn a GOOD "ring on string" routine, so I need your expert advices on good ressources (videos or books) for learning routines with a finger-ring and a string (or rope).

Please also tell me what you like most and what you disliked (or liked less) about the source(s) you mention.

Thanks in advance

Mark Leveridge has a nice ring and string routine, which is available via his website (

It looks very clean, but the effects are quite strong.

A vote here for Dan Fleshman's 'Sonata for Ring on String'. I do this four-phase routine to classical music. The phases get stronger and stronger, and then almost impossible! Not too hard, but practice is needed (as always). No gimmicks. Very classy effect.

This has been addressed several times on this very forum. Scan through the pages and you will find a plethora of resources.

I second the Leveridge routine! I use a very useful move from that routine.

Dan Garrett's "The Faustus Ring" is probably on one of his videos. Nice routine!

I just heard that Gregory Wilson's Ring Leader video is a great resource for this and i intend on buying that.

'The Faustus Ring' is a great routine and can be found on 'Close-up Connivery' by Dan Garrett.

Greg Wilson's Ring Leader IS a great resource. You get a wedding band style ring, a velvet string(similiar to a wide shoelace), and a tape with presentation/explanation of a variety of moves. You can present modules of the routines as Greg does them or build your own series from the instructions given on the tape.

The Relentless Ring & String Routine has a few new ring moves plus several classic moves that everyone needs: a variation of Dan Garret's dip move from his Faustus Ring video, a couple of classic Earl Nelson moves, and some Ray Grismer moves. 9-10 moves in one routine including FOUR 'ON' moves<--- more rare.
