Mike,

I saw Christian's routine and the old guys need to worry! It's not your grandfather's routine!

For others, take the opportunity to see it. Those of us who have will be there.

Everybody please note that the best rates for the Hotel are about to expire!

Save yourself some money (more to spend on the vendors!) and register ASAP. Please be sure to let the hotel know that you are with the SEAM convention as several have slipped thru the cracks and we would not want that to happen to you.

Michael,

That means that this week is it! Two weeks after that is the real thing!

Things are looking great. We have magicians coming from all over the country and as you said pre registrations exceed last year's total registrations.

We are short some magicians from Texas and Louisiana to balance up the mix. I hope they show up for the fun. Western flavor is good exposure to for the magicians from the north county. (Somebody needs to explain the menu for them! We don't want them to starve will all this good stuff around.)

See y'all at SEAM in August.

Hi guys,

I have a lot of baby doves looking for a magical home in Birmingham. If anyone would like to adopt some babies let me know.

Can't wait. It's almost here. Going to be a great time.

The question was asked about the distance from the Birmingham International Airport to the Hilton, so I thought I'd put the info here, too.

A few changes... actually additions!!

Travis Bolton has been added to perform on both the close-up show and the Friday night show. Paul Sponaugle, who was already on the close-up show, is also going to be on the Saturday stage show, and Dr.Chris Frings, who was on the Friday Stage show is also going to be lecturing on increasing your magic business.

Eric Evans is going to be conducting a workshop Sunday morning.

How much more magic can we cram into one SEAM convention?

Birmingham is going to make you very happy!!

Hello Justin,

It will be good to see your smiling face there at SEAM. Folks have been waiting.

I just got off the phone with Bill Plott the reporter with the Birmingham News who has been covering Matilda the Magic Chicken's career for years. There will be the world's first Broken Perch Ceremony for a famous animal in magic Saturday afternoon. It is open to the public. Apparently the news will cover this event. As the World's Oldest Chicken and a magical performer Matilda had quite a following. At age sixteen she was on Jay Leno and still working. This is an excellent opportunity to let the public see that show animals are hardly mistreated. They hold world records for unusually long lives and are treated as family members.

Perhaps this is another reason why the "chicks" in Alabama are special!

Matilda's replacement may be there too. You'll never guess her name but she is a very southern redhead.

This is no ordinary magic convention!

See you Thursday.
