I'm not sure if this would be classified as a "Polly want a cracker" posting or not...
Anyway, it does deal with a standard illusion used with our feathered friends, so I figured I'd post it here anyway... I just want to say how much I appreciate Cliff's willingness to work with me and try to meet my needs for one of the ProLine Vanishing Dove Cages. Before, I swore I would only purchase a Neilson model. After swapping emails and even a phone call with Cliff, I'm sold on ProLine. He is a genuine guy... I believe his new model of the Vanishing Cage will sweep the competition by storm... Check out his product! I think you'll like it! Hats of to Cliff... I wanted to post the video if anyone wants to see the new cage Cliff is offering... I don't think he even has an ad for it out yet... http://www.jasonpurdy.com/pwprocage.html Bryan Gilles |

Proline's site has been under construction for over a year. What is the problem! It is all set up, all he has to do is insert a picture of his products and type up the script.
This is not good, as it makes a potential customer wonder if he finishes what he starts. It's like buying something without even knowing what you'll be getting. |

Like so few magicians I know....Cliff knows his limits and what he CAN AND CAN'T DO...so with that in mind he doesn't do his own website. A friend does it for him...no its not me...

I have an Owen Customed Vanishing Bird Cage. It works great. Maybe you should look at one these. If you are looking for a new cage Bryan.

Hi all. I just wanted to say it was cool of Bryan to say the nice things about Cliff Wiggs and Proline Magic. It's seems all to often that many (a few) people generally speak in the negative, and hardly have any encouraging or positive things to say. Not just about someone's props, act, business ethics, (or website?) but the individual person(s) as well.
Sometimes it is very difficult to rise above a false/undeserving reputation. I’m sure there are nearly as many unsatisfying magic purchases as there are magicians. In magic how many times have you made a purchase while not really “knowing what you get”? If you are a potential customer, of any magic shop, prop or builder, I would suggest doing some research and trying to find out as much info as you can to make a wise decision. Try not to form your opinion, from just one source. As everybody’s needs are different. Remember, for every unsatisfied individual, there may be hundreds of happy ones that you never asked. OR that never chimed in just to say how pleased they are etc.. The PW PRO cage shown in the video http://www.jasonpurdy.com/pwprocage.html is not actually readily available yet as the new V3.O is. You may have seen the V3.0 cage advertised and it is available through Doug Tilford. (As are many other Proline props.) So nope, no adds yet! The cage in the video is currently a custom order item available directly through Proline Magic. And by the way, the video doesn't even begin to do this cage justice. Really. It is much more amazing in person! Many months ago, Cliff and I discussed some of my thoughts and ideas regarding his vanishing dove cage. Cliff instantly prototyped and implemented a couple of the ideas, into the cage. While the new ideas were somewhat subtle, they were justified. Suddenly, the already much improved (older) V2.0 model (over the earlier units) became a new and improved cage the V3.0 Cliff listened to my ideas, and like Dan Sperry said, knew his limitations. He took what he liked, and threw the rest away. Just kidding. The V3.0 cage exists due to many, many years of trial and error, Cliff's past experiences, as well as feedback from owners of the product. But I'd say mainly due to Cliff's willingness to listen and change! I wasn't finished with him yet. I had yet another fabulously great idea and an overcomplicated method to make the cage sizzle. Cliff once again ran with it, and so was born the "PW Pro Cage". I own the first! I have shown this to quite a few people who have seen earlier models and all the comments have pretty much been the same. "Wow, that looks great" "Very Impressive" and my personal favorite "This makes the V2.0 look like a imitation or knock off!" And it really does! I'm talking about many detailed things you probably wouldn't even notice until they were brought to your attention! And then you too would be like "Wow, what an improvement!" I'm very honored and proud to have my name in part of the title. (That's what the "P" is for in "PW Pro"... Purdy/Wiggs Pro Cage). I'm happier, that Cliff listened, and cared enough about his product and customers so that even these simple little improvements were not over looked. I personally have received some great feedback about the finished product. And it's nice to see more here! I can't speak highly enough about this prop, or the builder! Cliff's attention to craftsmanship and components is superb! Every joint, every corner, every seam are all perfect! Quality work all the way through! Keep up the good work Cliff! Not only does this cage look like a million bucks, it performs like a dream! Custom work, obviously takes a bit longer. I wasn't in a huge rush though, and while at times other projects (and personal life issues) seemed to take president. And so it goes… I was never left in the dark! Cliff kept constant contact and sent me updates and photos of the progress. Cliff Wiggs has many hats, yet somehow manages to ware them all at once! And I'd say he does a hell of a job! This was really worth the wait! Cliff and I have discussed some other cool ideas and have a few things on the back left burner, simmering over med.-low heat. Who knows what will happen next? Stay tuned! ~Jason |

Hi Jason
Cool Photos! Yes, I would like to upgarde to this from my current V2.0. Just some advise from you I noticed that the base height as well as the cage height is HIGHER than the V2.0. correct me if I am wrong....is the base height raise higher to make it easier to place the dove on the perch without bending our body too much. The higher in cage height is to show the visability of a higher cage....hence it is even more impossible for the vanish as compared with a lower height cage..? The new cage base shines...it is made of aluminum(V2.0) OR stainless steel..? Lastly, the base leg in your video is Black....can we have silver...it matches better & looks nicer in my persoanl view...is there a reason why you use black? Thanks Jason dove-boy |

Hi dove-boy,
You are right, both the cage and the table height are taller. In fact, on the custom PW PROcage the table height can be any height you want! (Up to twenty feet!) The cage base does shine. It is still aluminum though. It's just been highly polished. Regarding the base legs, well currently, the base is black and aluminum. The tops of the legs are shiny, and the underside is black. It does look all black in the video. However, a new more compact base design is in the works and will be available soon. I do believe it will be available in a silver or chrome look! Hope this helps you! ~Jason |

I have ordered the PW PRO cage from Cliff and am holding my breath like David Blaine, waiting to receive it!
Like many others, I have always wanted to do a vanishing bird cage. For years I thought that the Neilson cage was probably the best available (and it is a great cage). Then I started seeing the ads for the PROline series, and they looked really good. But it was this thread, and Jason's kind sharing of his video link, that made me finally bite the bullet and order this cage. I really liked his improvements to the standard cage, and I can't wait to see it up close and personal. ....to be continued. |

I went to the site and none of the links work. I can't click on order, products or anything. Can someone P.M. me with the cost of this cage. Cery interested. Thanks.
