That is so awesome!

Have you seen the one where he is an old man and does the lean? He's a PHENOM!!! If I were Blaine or Angel I'd be worried. VERY worried.

I think Blaine has been showed up lots of time. But Criss Angel has some pretty strong magic that's pretty hard to beat. But that was some awesome magic.

Nice magic~!

Cyril is very good at blending magic techniques and make them even better~! I suppose the principle is not a tough one but in his hands everything looks cool.

The restoring bill part at the end really got me... but I'm doubtful... ha ha~

If you saw this in person it wouldn't look exactly the same because the video is edited. That being said, Cyril is fantastic!

The final restoration looked great, but it's not Cyril's idea (and editing is in play just prior to the restoration).

Cyril deserves heaps of praise, but I think that it's important to point out that what you see on video is not exactly what you'd see if you witnessed this (as well as other effects he performs) in person. It's great magic, just not represented entirely accurately. Laymen might not perceive the difference, but experienced magicians definitely would.

I saw how he changed the one stick into a stick with a wrapper, but not into a box...that really got me as well.

I agree with Larry.

Somehow we can't trust the video too much... some editing surely looks suspicious.

However, sometimes it is the video itself giving out too much information. In real performance, with proper presentation and mis-direction, it is often that the spec. never see your "secret move", even you do it quite boldly.

I believe what makes Cyril's magic so outstanding is not his skill (though it is good), but his creativity and audience control (and sometimes good-looking helps Smile).

Awesome! Simply awesome! Regardless of editing, Cyril's presentation AND rapport with those around him is what makes the magic not just entertaining but what also draws others in.

Alright....

I've seen Cyril do a number of amazing things, but I really love this whole routine. It's brilliant really.

All I can say is "Why didn't I think of that"...hahahaha!!!

I love seeing creativity like that.

Great job Cyril, and I hear that there's more great stuff coming from you in the future.

I went out an bought a pack of gum after seeing this. You have to understand that I probably never have bought a pack of gum before, but I'm always looking for the perfect bill to impossible location and this presentation was so logical to me (okay, the premise is illogical but it ties in really well). Now, I'm not sure if my pack of gum will turn magical or not, but at least I can chew on it for a bit...

Wait I have a question... Why is this in the Show me the money section of the forums?

Because it was a torn bill to newly made gum pack and restored bill.

Larry, I am going to play the devils advocate here. As a experienced magician I have watched the video several times. I am suprised about your comment on the editing and that he couldn't do that the same way live. I can tell you that it can be done live and it was done live and if you watch the video again you might see that. YES there was some editing but it was for the reactions and intro for the audience. Cyril is very good at using simple but yet new twists on things. And that is what happend here. I don't want to expose anything on this section of the forum but if you want to discuss this further through pm feel free to contact me. The one thing I will say about it is that all the moves and everything involved is stuff we do all the time and I am suprised that you did not relize that it was that way and assumed that the editing was for the magic reason. Cyril does use editing as most magicians (not all) on tv do. But from a inside scoop that I have Cyril is always trying to push that so he can perform it live and in front of people as well. That doesn't meen that the tricks he does is good for walk around or easy reset. Just meens that he trys to put things out there that the lay people will see live as well as on Tv.

P.s. Larry after writing I watched again and you are right there is a edit before the restore. LOL But that doesn't take away the fact that he did live in front of them.

I can see what you mean by editing now.

I only quoted the above posting versus your first one because you've reversed course. I know that Cyril could and did do the magic live and I never said otherwise. My only point is that what you see on the video is not exactly what you'd see live, and by the way, the editing before the restore is only one example of how Cyril used video to his advantage here.

I don't want my comments about the editing to overshadow what I think of Cyril as a magician...as I said above, I think that he's fantastic. Also, notice that I didn't voice my opinion one way or the other about the ethics of the editing that Cyril used, but I will now. I happen to think that it's not only ethical, it's a smart move, for the very same reasons that info2victor mentions above.
