Hello Tim and Sue!!
This is great! Two of the greatest magicians in the world..were born in my city! I feel so proud right now, typing up this message. Congratulations on your success!! I really am so happy for you. I'll have to buy a poster or two from you, and pin it up on my wall!! I've decided you guys are my new inspiration!! I just feel so good now, typing to you. It's great! I'd love to follow your path and hopefully bump into you down the road too! Do you guys know of any Australian websites..that can keep me updated on anything and everything magic related in Sydney. I have really been wanting to start a magic group, somewhere I can practice and share my magic with other fellow magicians. I don't know of anywhere What kind of places were you associated with, when being in Australia..Have you any recommendations..to a serious magician with serious ambitions? I'll move to melbourne if I have too..any advice you have for me, would be so greatly appreciated guys. Is there any competitions in Australia, how do I get into them, where are they held..etc etc.. lol ANYTHING in australia that you think would benifit my carrea, please help me.. I want to get practical And I'd just LOVE to have a stage show sometime!! But where to start, where to start... lol I hope you understand my question guys, I'm sure it came out quite blabbbery..but that's just exitement . I'll try and sum it all up in one question for you Have you any Aussie sources for magicians, being up to date on the latest news? Thanks so much..and I hope too see both of you sometime, looking down at you from the stage, smiling with a big thumbs up. lol nice thread on the vegimite too!!

Hi Sam!
Well Sue-Anne was born in Sydney... Seriously though... I'm blown away by your comments! Have we met before? Maybe at a Sydney Convention? There's a great website for Sydney magic run by Kent Blackmore: http://www.users.bigpond.com/kblackmore/index.html And there's another one here listing tons of Aussie Magic sites: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewf......4&74 And there's one run by Graham Etherington with a section of upcoming events: http://www.mrtricks.com.au/EVENTS.html What part of Sydney are you in? There are two Magic Clubs in Sydney, The IBM and The Geniis, that I'm sure would welcome you. Sean Taylor at Taylor's Magic Shop also runs regular monthly get-togethers where you can session with other magicians and swap ideas. As far as places we were associated with, you can get into detail by checking here: http://www.magicunlimited.com/Achievements.htm Up in Sydney Sue-Anne's mentor is a magician called Turoa Walmsley based in the Parramatta area. Perhaps if you PM us with your contact details she can get Turoa to give you a call. He has a lot of magic students and is an inspiring teacher. As far as Aussie magic news goes, when I published 'Australian Magic Monthly' from 1989-1998 it served as a good hook-up for magic in Australia. Colin Allen and Andrew Wimhurst tried to carry on the tradition with a publication called 'Hocus', but unfortunately that died out. We resurrected 'Australian Magic Monthly' as 'AMM2000' for a year (in 2000) hoping that by the start of 2001 someone else would have started a new publication... but it didn't happen. Our blog will keep you up to date with what we're doing, but apart from that... ??? But good luck with your career! With your obvious enthusiasm you're half way there already! If we can ever help you in any way, just drop us a line anytime.

Being as modest as he is Tim may neglect to mention that he did the website himself.

Nah, I'm just too cheap to hire someone to do it for me. LOL
Just joking! When we decided to get a website up I asked around and was ready to hire a designer, despite the huge fees they all seem to charge, but none I found had any time available for months! That, plus the fact that some friends of mine had professional websites put up, but they couldn't update or change them without going through the designer. I knew I needed to be able to alter it frequently, and I'd heard that a good designer can put a "wizard" into the site for that purpose, so that was what I was after but no-one had anytime. So... as Easter was approaching and I knew I'd have at least three clear days, I bought a copy of Front Page (I built my old website on Word) and learned it as I constructed the site. I'm embarrassed at how huge the site has become, but it's nothing if not comprehensive! Every few months I try to tidy it up, make it a little more "user-friendly". People like Brendan, who know a lot more than me, make suggestions and I try to implement them where possible. And now we have the BLOG too! Generally that is updated every day, but while we're in here I thought we might encourage out Blog visitors to come visit us in The Café! Hopefully, once this week is over, you'll all come a check up on how we're doing on the Blog now and then!
