I saw Terry perform this (and win the competition) at St Louis at the convention in 2005 and it just kills! Period. It is audience interactive, entertaining, and just plain fun to watch. As I am not aware of the mechanics of the effect, I cannot / will not assume the level of difficulty of the routine, but I can say, I saw it twice and laughed until I was crying. And Terry is a GREAT guy. I spoke with him at the convention and he said he planned on putting this routine out. Very simply.....Buy it, your audience will thank you!

Go onto the site by typing wellingtonent.com and then click on Enter. The first page you go to will show this item and you can click on it for details. It appears to be a mirror box with some big "words" and a routine on comedy with the words. If Bill makes it, I'm sure it is top notch all the way and the photos suggest that.

I would love to see a clip of this routine. It sounds right up my alley. Does anyone know if there is a clip of Terry performing this?

I havent found a video of the routine but you can call Terry and he could probably answer all your questions for you. This routine is the funniest bit I have seen in a Loooong time. No doubt it will become a classic!

Thank you for the kind words about Something Nothing and More. A video can be purchased at Wellington Enterprises for $19.95 and that is deductable should you purchase the routine. The routine got me into the Magic Castle and has won both competitions I have entered using it. It is so easy even I can do it which would place it at the top of the simplicity list. There is magic involved because the words are bigger than the box they come from but the strength of the routine is the audience interplay and the fun you can have while performing it. Please buy it I just had my car fixed and I need to get it back out of the garage My contact information is http://www.themagicofterryelton.com

Tony, Is it a routine for adults, children or both?

I do it for both it is my 9 year old grandsons favorite thing of what I do. Having said that I would not plan it for a kids show, Family show yes, kids show no.

Hi Don,
While this routine could easily play for ALL audiences, there is one joke that you might have to change slightly. ("Mine is bigger than yours") Beyond that, children as well as adults will truly enjoy this routine. Like Terry states above, purchase the video and enjoy the routine. You won't be disappointed!!! BTW: I have no financial interest in this routine. Tony |

Hey, Terry -
Why would you not recommend this for kid shows? Just wondering what would keep it from working. Thanks! Doug |

Hey dking,
See my above post. That is the only joke (that I can recall) that would be inappropriate for younger audiences. |

Doug:
The reason I wouldn't do it for kids is the reason Tony mentioned; the line "Mine is bigger than yours" The kids I'm sure would not have a problem with it but the parents might disapprove and that would reflect back to you. I don't do kids shows per se but I do work a Renaissance festival or two and I get kids to every show and nobody has said anything about it be in wrong for that audience. Bottom line it's all about what you decide for your marketplace. A lot of things that I do could be taken in the same vain and I know I'm walking a very fine line but my stage character gets me into these situations where I'm going along very inocently and then find myself walking into a verbal trap. It happens in SN&M and in my "Old CY" routine but the audiences have fun with it and that's what counts I think. |

Hoping to see it this weekend. Terry is performing and lecturing at the Columbus Magi-fest.

You will see it at Magi-Fest and it is a killer. My first thought at seeing it in Pigeon Forge last year was that it is not a routine that is designed to make your audience go "wow". It is designed to entertain them and make them laugh. And at that goal, it excels. Terry, see you at Magi-Fest this weekend. Stop by the Haines booth and say hi.
