The sports idea is Xcellent. The routine is Xcellent. I really like it. The Weather forecast on the CD is very cool and professional as well.

I am mostly a play it straight motivational mentalist but I need something like this in different venues where motivation and education aren't required.

I recently purchased " Weather or Not " and am quite pleased with it. I haven't performed it yet but after having read the instructions several times, I have no doubt that this will be a great addition to my future shows.

I purchased "Weather or Not" at the recent SAMCON in Peabody, MA.

After several weeks of writing my own script and tailoring the presentation to my particular style, I used it in performance for the first time a few days ago...

In a word, spectacular...

Not only is this effect a clever plot, a streamlined method and a well thought out presentaion, it's fun to do and engages the entire audinece in a truly entertaining way.

As the CD "reveal" was played, there were audible gasps from the audience...The "kicker" weather gear selection was just icing on the cake.

Without a doubt, one of the finest purchases I've made in my years in magic...Great fun!

I just wanted to tell everyone, this item has been re-released and is listed on the new items pages at Murphys. If you missed out in the past, here is your chance to get this.

Is it doable using other language than english?

Yes, with a small amount of work you can use this for any language although you'd have to record and burn your own cd in the language you wish to use.

This is a very solid effect that most working mentalist would use. Don't underestimate this routine, it's very good.

At the end of the day it's just a prediction with a few tired forces. The uniqueness of this routine lies in the sports force, which is essentially a very clever psychological force that almost totally blocks back-tracking.

HOWEVER, and this is NOT mentioned in the description, the sports force, can only be done when you have golf players in your audience. If your typical audience doesn't play golf (eg children or for cultural reasons) you CANNOT do the unique force.

You're then back to doing three c***r-f***e-b*g forces.

Moral of the story: Don't trust a trick that doesn't have a demo vid.

If you do not like the props, why not make it your own?
What I like is the routine idea NOT how you get the final results.
There are numerous ways to get to the final result you want.

If I have to invent the method why do I need to buy it? Just for the great idea of predicting a weather announcement? Without the method it's just an idea.
If you can only perform an effect with a certain kind of audience it should say on the description.
What if I am mainly a children's performer? The effect in itself sounds like one I could do for kids, especially older ones. I read the description and am pulled in by the part that says that the sport is 'freely' selected. I buy it. Then I find out it just won't work.

Ps. I also think the cd containg the announcement is to fast and doesn't really milk the moment as dramatically as it should.

So? Is he selling an idea or a method? If the method won't wokr for all types of audiences it should be noted in the description.
